    Pros

Paradise bakery and cafe has been my favorite work place to work at. Every one is so friendly.

    Cons

Nothing bad other than the typical every work place in happy customers from time to time and a really fast paced environment provides quick skills.

    Advice to Management

Management is great at paradise. The hiring manager is my absolute favorite person in the whole world.

I worked at Paradise Bakery & Café part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great school hours, opens at 4 and your out by 9 or 11. Lots of free time and 'gaps' between customers.

    Cons

My main issues with the job were inconsistent hours, impatient customers, low wages, and the amount of time it takes to get an airport badge. For the first two months you need an escort to use the restrooms.

    Advice to Management

Rumors that hours were adjusted before payroll was sent each week. I however, loved my team I worked with. Everyone was hardworking, nice and respectful.

I worked at Paradise Bakery & Café part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The workers/fellow employees made the job enjoyable. I made quite a few close friends, we had fun, and we were always there for each other when we needed it.

    Cons

Management was something else. They talked crap about you, belittled you, and made a fool out of you. I had one manager grab me by my shoulders, turn me around, and push me towards customers who had just arrived at my station. I had been helping another employee out and hadn't noticed it, so they decided to do that instead of just helping the customers themselves. The customers laughed at me. They don't care about effort you put in, and only promote favorites. They don't care at all, as long as it doesn't have to do with them.

    Advice to Management

Don't pick favorites and listen to your employees.

I have been working at Paradise Bakery & Café part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You need to have great customer service skills to work here because almost every position will have to speak with customers at some point. You get 70% off meals and some managers don't care if you eat food. If you make friends here it can be a lot of fun to go to work each day. They offer health care plans although I am not sure how all of that works because I don't need it. There are many teenagers working here including me.

    Cons

They pay is not great. The just recently started giving raises. I started at $7.75, but some started at the minimum wage of $7.25. The schedule comes out on very short notice so it can be hard to plan your weekend if you need to know when you work. They post the schedule usually on Monday and the week begins on Tuesday on the schedule so you need to either call in or have someone send you a photo of the schedule if you want to know if you work Tuesday.

    Advice to Management

    Give more raises.

I have been working at Paradise Bakery & Café full-time

    Pros

Job is not very difficult, enjoyable work, not very strenuous, customer interaction, very good for part time high school or college students

    Cons

Very difficult to move up in company, do not seem to care about current associates, well-deserved raises-even ones that are a part of company policy- are not given out freely

    Advice to Management

focus on employee turnover, find the causes (difficult managers, unfair wages, etc). and remove the issue. If associates stayed in their jobs rather than moving on quickly, the cafe would run a lot more smoothly
