    Advice to Management

You will work hard, be driven, yet left in the dark as to the direction and how your performing.

I have been working at Paramount Hospitality Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of hours, lots of hands on.

    Cons

Always short staffed, they expect you to do 2 and 3 people's jobs. Pay sucks.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs without so much micromanagement. Pay better and you will get better quality employees.

I worked at Paramount Hospitality Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Line level employees treated well, properties in a good location, people in the industry will commend you for being able to work here for any period of time, will over prepare you for other jobs you are bound to leave for.

    Cons

Upper management are irrational and impulse driven, you'll be talked to like you're a child, no benefits, no holidays, no appreciation, no real communication. If you like to be talked AT rather than to you'll be perfect here. The culture is way off track although they'll tell you this is a priority. Your opinion will only count if it's in line with theirs, but they'll constantly ask you for your honest opinion.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat all employees like they are actual people, the culture is only an issue at the top of the tree... everyone below that are already aware how you should treat your employees.

I worked at Paramount Hospitality Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities for growth, competitive pay (if favorable). Good incentives and Holiday Parties. Health benefits for singles are good. Great Human Resources team, previous and current.

    Cons

Mostly understaffed. No 401k. Lazy Leaders. High expectations. Needs more knowledgeble ENG team to actually FIX the guest issues. Very old appliances, needs updates. BIGGER cafe, with friendlier staff.

    Advice to Management

Value your great employees, and recognize their hard work. Be more flexible when you are fully committed, in regards to "labor" goals. Hire more educated engs and more friendly staff in the front-line levels. Thoroughly train ALL entry level employees, (J1 students, new leaders). Prepare a protocol & EXECUTE it.

I have been working at Paramount Hospitality Management full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are searching for a company that will invest in your development, look no further. I have been with Paramount Hospitality since 2005 when they first started with one resort. Well, they now have four and are committed to promoting their dedicated team members from within. I am proud to say that I work for Paramount. In my 12 years in hospitality, I have received a huge amount of support and guidance with Paramount, which I never received working for the larger hotel chains (ex: Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt). I truly am grateful for all of the opportunities they have given me. We have phenomenal benefits and an amazing work environment. It is like one big family.

    Cons

There are no cons I can list about this company.
