    Pros

Ski Privilege, good co-workers, and very relaxed dress code.

    Cons

Leadership is not supportive, lack of care for employees, and no time off unless you are a senior leader.

    Advice to Management

    Good luck

I worked at Park City Resort full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Beautiful, peers are cool, lifestyle, free pass

    Cons

terrible pay, terrible hours, 6 years at the mountain and they paid newcomers more than me, they don't make you feel good about working there, ambition is not rewarded

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better, not everyone is there to just be a ski bum, some of us want to grow

    Pros

Beautiful place, kind interviewers, would be lucky to be fully employed.

    Cons

After applying and being guaranteed the position, they did a background check. I received a copy as well and so I knew when they got it. Waited a week, no responce. Called 20 times over 20 days. Always HR would give me ignorance or lies.

    Advice to Management

Don't promise to employ someone and then give them no hours. I am poor as is and the flight into SLC costs money. Please treat humans with respect.

    Pros

You get a free ski pass

    Cons

No growth, management that is not at all resourceful, and a lot of manipulation going on to coax people into committing to an unpromising career.

    Advice to Management

    Be transparent with your employees.

I worked at Park City Resort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great working environment. Supervisor was friendly enough. Got discount on food and a free meal a day. Over all great work experience

    Cons

Kitchen was really hectic during dinner time. People shouted a lot, but I kept pealing and dicing onions and potatoes too.

    Advice to Management

The kitchens should be bigger, wider rooms and more professional equipment training to teach people how to properly use the machines and clean them.

I worked at Park City Resort full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Management pre 2009, stand up people you could believe

President 2009- 2013 Mike Goar good guy also

    Cons

The Talisker experiment was a complete failure, dispute anything, be fired, as I was, now they are gone, many good people got messed over

    Advice to Management

Vail now seems to be righting the ship and making people happier

I have been working at Park City Resort full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very strong relationship amongst team members, due no doubt to not getting much in the manner of fiscal support from the former Powdr ownership group. The PCMR team banded together against adversity and drew strength from that.

    Cons

During the Powdr era, profits went straight to the Powdr ownership group and were not reinvested in the operation at PCMR. This, along with the lawsuit against the landowner (2012-14) caused a huge drop in morale which led to a decline in service levels and overall experience at the company.

    Advice to Management

The ownership change in 2014 was much needed, results of the change are still to be seen, but Powdr had lost respect from many employees during the lawsuit as well as due to their unwillingness to invest in employees in any way shape or form.
