    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Park Inn Carlson Hotels Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Some usual hotel business perks - discounts at the same hotel chain hotels. Cheap food for employees, depending on the position but technically can get some more some less Carlson Rezidor trainings.

    Cons

Really stagnated work culture and bad management. Old style. The manager is unfortunately not at all people person and motivating either valuing people. In many departments poisonous work culture, and atmosphere, everybody on everybody´s necks, not enough co-operation. A lot of each others blaming, nobody wants to take responsibility. It is a work and organizational culture that comes historically and probably takes a long time to change and with the change of people. But new management until now mostly not with big positive effect.
Unhappy employees pretty much - reflecting in many areas.

Not often ethical management and employer-employee relations, meaning violating employees´ rights.
Pay is not smallest but quite small on many positions compared to others.

Very greedy owners.. so that makes it difficult to make needed changes in the hotel interior, evey cent is on stake.

    Advice to Management

Get somebody on the board who loves people and wants to bring best out of them, tries to help and motivate.
