Really good health and retirement benefits
Cons
Limited ability to get promoted
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Well organized, and well thought out orientation process. Good company perks such as ability to work out in the cardiovascular center. Health benefits provide good coverage and an effort was made to keep employees engaged (ie. ice cream socials, on-site farmers market during the summer, etc)
Cons
Park Nicollet provided the most expensive health benefits I have ever had at a job, especially for healthcare system specific coverage. HR quotes "competitive pay", but they mean average. I ultimately left my position because of better pay with better benefits elsewhere.

Relatively competitive for non-union position
Feb 15, 2021 - RN ClinicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good insurance benefits. Company paid short term disability leave, though first 2 weeks are PTO. After some seniority is accrued, 401k automatic contribution and PTO accrual are competitive. Local leadership is invested. Free clinic parking. Tuition reimbursement available, though amount is less than other places in TC area. Strong annual review process.
Cons
PTO is one bucket for holidays, sick time, and personal time off. That means that if your clinic is closed for a holiday, you pay yourself with your own PTO. Clinic staff do not get floating holidays either. Salaried PTO is given lump sum in January each year and there is no rollover. This is awful as it is difficult to keep some time for just in case sick time, and a bunch of people try to burn days in December. PTO is also not paid out at end of employment, even if that end is retiring or ending on good terms. Annual raises are abysmal. I’m talking less than 3% consistently even if your review is exceeds/greatly exceeds expectation. This is not at all competitive for the TC area, and is barely a cost of living increase. Mind you, this has been going on way before Covid-19 was a thing, so that is not an excuse. It leads to people falling way behind in the wage scale. I’ve worked with people that leave for other companies and get 20% raises with the same position elsewhere.

It's been rough I suppose.
Feb 22, 2014 - Dietary Aide in Saint Louis Park, MNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
it's a paycheck.... Coworkers are friendly and enjoy working together. The benefits are good. Enjoy seeing patients.
Cons
Not enough dietary aide staff to fill in work. High turnover rate. Management lacks understanding and communication skills. No HR support. Dictatorship. Don't expect to go home on time.
