It's a well known company. The people are very nice and friendly. The vacation benefits are great you get 29 days as a full time employee your first year. Company values are the same everywhere, nothing different. the The work life balance is great as a salaried employee.
Cons
The training was very minimal and disorganized at best. Lots of different direction from too many different people. There are different expectations for different people with no accountability. The pay for the job was much lower than standard. I took a huge pay cut to come here.

It’s a good place to work
Dec 14, 2021 - Guest Services Representative/Team Leader in Saint Louis Park, MNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have an amazing supervisor and supporting leaders. Pretty great benefits. Flexibility in my schedule. Awesome work life balance, I can go home and not think about work.
Cons
Covid has made it really draining working with patients. People can be very rude. Communication from other departments can be really bad. I wish there was more diversity in my department but I can see they try. Short staffed.

Pros
Great coworkers. Union support is strong. Have had lots of ups and downs in my many years there. The people make it family. Management and upper level leadership can make it frustrating.
Cons
Vacation constantly denied. Cannot go down in hours worked hardly ever if ever. You cannot drop down to a 0.6 or 0.75 as needed for work life balance. I have been applying for drop in hours for years. We recently have lost over 40 staff on our 150 person unit in the past two years. Our scheduler does not work with us to keep life and work balanced. They do not mind loosing people with lots of seniority who they could have kept for small adaptations to their schedule. This loss of seniority makes it worrisome for growing strong newer nurses as they have less and less experienced nurses to train them.

Good place to start a career
Oct 24, 2019 - Senior Claims SpecialistRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good place to start a career, most of my coworkers were awesome. Flexible schedule* to make up time, could make up 3 hours a week to use instead of PTO, helped make the PTO stretch since Holidays were included and people had to budget to make sure they had enough for Thanksgiving & Xmas - work life balance was pretty good. Great manager, decent Cafe, good location in St. Louis Park The insurance was pretty great. *I clicked recommend to friend before I realized there was no way to deselect and am choosing not recommend w/ the caveat that I'd recommend it for other positions, just not my old department right now.
Cons
*Took away the flexible schedule to make up time if you were taking a whole day off, could only make up 3 hours for appointments or an afternoon off. No reason was given for this switch, but the rumor mill said it was because not all departments could be that flexible so they just took it away from everyone. Holidays being bundled into PTO - last minute XMas eve time off but you had to use PTO & the office closed at 3 no matter what so people got time off but if they didn't have any PTO those few hours were unpaid. Crappy raises for performing consistently above and beyond, however people not doing as well got great raises - raises were not based on performance but whoever's turn it was to get the nice raise. Not enough room for upward growth and no career paths. One manager consistently belittled and bullied employees out of the company, nothing was ever done about it but everyone knows about it. Yelling at adults and making them cry is not acceptable management. Please please please do a giant deep clean of the 5050 building - it literally aggravates peoples allergies and makes them sick - that's not normal or ok.
