I have been working at Park Place Dealerships full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The members (tenured). Those that have been there ten years or longer - they are what build the company and are truly the Experts in Excellence. Of the Leadership Team, there is the one President that cares for the employees.

    Cons

The HR Leadership - terrible! The training - terrible! They have the biggest turnover but no one will look at the leader - everything changed when that changed. Now our Leadership Team is changing, which is a joke. Please go back to valuing your employees, celebrating, recognizing - we were award winning! We were different! We lived our values - now the majority of our...

    Advice to Management

Please look at your Leadership Team. You don't have the right leaders - find someone with experience who can help build your culture, not tear it down. Go out and talk to your people and listen to them - I understand we need to progress but don't throw out all of the good things we did in the past - build on it otherwise we will have to leave because as of now we see no future here (most employees feel this way).

I have been working at Park Place Dealerships full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

They do employee good people - some managers but mostly front line employees. They have nice facilities- probably some of the best.

    Cons

Leaders do not listen or care what employees think- most stay in their ivory tower in Las Colinas. Our training department has gone downhill. What happened? No one can give honest feedback on the Evolve survey. Pay plans are always changing.

    Advice to Management

Rewind back to 3- 5 years ago. Revisit your core convictions. I remember when I first started years ago and went through orientation - what we learned and felt was amazing- our history, our culture, leaders that care and listen. That is the company I want back.

I have been working at Park Place Dealerships full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I work with some of the coolest cars in the world, the company cares about its employees and tries to show that with yearly events and quarterly get togethers.

    Cons

As a Tech you are subject to the ups and downs of work flow which is never good for your wallet, and it only worsens as more and more dealerships are opened meaning customers do not need to go to you they can take a shorter drive. When the cash flow is at a low for the techs no one is there to help you. You just suffer with your check that could be 20% lower than you are use...

    Advice to Management

The technicians should be taken seriously not like a tool everyone uses to get what they need, ultimately the client comes first but if techs don`t have some kind of guarantee to fall on when times are rough it will leave a sour taste in there mouth and urge them to walk away from the industry completely

    Cons

Managers Sometimes take a long time to move people up mainly because no one ever quits. so it can be hard to move up. hard to trust the sales managers to give you the best employee deal when purchasing pre-owned or new cars. found it better just to purchase elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. and Sales don't pick out Your favorite employees to give better deals to when purchasing cars should be fair to all Employees.

I worked at Park Place Dealerships

    Pros

-Pays well -Can make friends in the work place

    Cons

-The hours at Park Place are horrible and long -No good channels of promotion. Most people in upper management have either been there forever or are placed there from outside. -Can't take ownership of your own job and improve -Upper level employees can be condescending -Management either has no policies or does not follow them. If there is a problem no one knows the procedure...
