Hard Work is Appreciated & Rewarded!

    Business Outlook

    Pros

I've been with the company for roughly a year and in my time here I have already progressed within the company, received a standard yearly bonus and several performance related bonus'. We are provided with at least an hour each week to upskill and train in order to help us in our current roles and also to progress further in your career. On top of that, the atmosphere in the workplace is so positive, its a multinational organization, but they make every effort for teams from all over the globe to interact and get to know each other to build a closer, better team environment. PPT also appreciates the work life balance, and is happy to help you work the hours that suit you and your lifestyle.

    Cons

Because its such a big company, when changes are made, they are slow to come, just because of the big, bureaucratic nature of the beast that is a multinational company.

    Good Sales Job

Feb 28, 2023 - Account Manager in Cleveland, OH

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Great people. Great Sales Traning. Get you comfortable selling and doing cold calls. Very effective sales training to start you off to build you skills

    Cons

They dont really value talent very much. Salaries are not great. Based on performance. If you dont sell 500k you stay at 53k base. If you sell 1 million you get a 90k base. If you dont hit those marks you could get knocked down to the next level (sell 500k=70k base). In your first couple of years it is very tough to sell 500k+. If you get lucky and get a good territory it can happen. They keep altering the compensation plans for sales which creates an unsure environment for your future. Not much room for growth either career wise

Good place to start, then get out QUICK

    Jun 23, 2022 - Sales
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Provides you with decent entry-level sales experience right out of college. Don't care if you have experience or not.

    Cons

Very outdated approach towards sales. "It's worked for this long so far, why change it" mentality. 70-100 daily dial requirements - no exceptions. "Hybrid" work environment just means work from home 1 day a week - and you are micro managed the entire time on that 1 day. Managers will openly call you out and humiliate you in front of your team if you mess up, even once, with the idea it will motivate you to work harder. Very little career growth once you get into your territory. Not all territories are equal, you can be "selected" for a territory that hasn't hit in years, but it becomes your fault that you're not doing enough if it continues not to hit. Below average pay and commission structure compared to other tech industry sales role - and it just seems to get worse each year. Benefits aren't anything special, even though the majority of employees are young enough to still be covered by their parents insurance. Selling discounted maintenance on data centers is quickly becoming irrelevant in the industry when the majority of your customers are migrating to the could. Very hard product to sell. Take the job if you have no experience, get enough experience to get a job elsewhere and leave as soon as you can. This place will suck you in.

Park Place hosted its annual employee Olympics event for the first time since 2019 on Friday! We kicked it off with our own version of Family Feud on Thursday and wrapped up with our half day event on Friday where teams competed in events like volleyball and dodgeball. It was so great to get everyone back together for some team bonding and competition.
