I have been working at Park Ridge Health full-time

    Pros

Park Ridge has a wonderful work environment. They really care about their patients and employees. I have only been working here for a couple months but everyone has been so welcoming and kind. They take pride in their work as well so you can tell that everyone strives for the absolute best for our patients. Park Ridge is small enough to get to know co-workers throughout the hospital but big enough for opportunities. Management is very positive and supportive.

    Cons

    I don't have any cons.

I worked at Park Ridge Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent Team that truly cares about the people they serve. Small hospital truly connects with employees.

    Cons

Smaller hospital means fewer services (like neurosurgery).

    Advice to Management

Increase communication to front line staff.

I worked at Park Ridge Health full-time

    Pros

The staff and physicians are generally nice to work with.
    Management is approachable.
    Overall friendly work environment.
They offer benefits as opposed to other hospitals in the area that have stopped paying PDO hours like Mission.

    Cons

    Benefits:
PDO equals to vacation / sick days.

No paid holidays: if you're scheduled off on one of 6 holidays they dock your PDO account hours. So essentially you'll lose 6 days of vacation / sick days a year.

If your weekly hours fall below 40 hours they'll top up your weekly hours to equal 40 with your PDO time . Again losing your few precious hours of vacation / sick time. So don't plan on getting sick since you won't be able to take full week off until you near the 3rd year.

There currently is no way to stop or cancel your PDO deductions for holidays or less than 40 hours.

Also your two legal 15 min breaks are considered a privilege and labeled meditation moments or something.

All of these PDO topics are considered none employee facing by corporate. So there will not be any HR paper trail covering this topic in the employee intranet and will be wiped from the HR submission page. This is only handled by phone calls.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Stop taking PDO from the employees.

I have been working at Park Ridge Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overall the company is good to work for. The COMPANY. Certain departments need to be looked at more closely. Benefits are decent. Most the people are friendly and supportive. If you find a good department to work for then the experience is great.

    Cons

HR on site is challenging and pay could be better. On boarding is hard, orientation is lacking, and on the job training could use some work. I have worked in several different departments and each one needed more staff or time to train new employees and make them feel welcome. It took me a long time to feel comfortable in most the positions I held due to lack of training.

    Advice to Management

Improve the orientation and training in the jobs. Retention is suppose to be important there (or that is what they say) but I have been here for over a year and have lost count at the number of GOOD people I have seen leave due to lack of training and bad bad management in certain departments.

I worked at Park Ridge Health part-time

    Pros

    There are absolutely no pros.

    Cons

They treat you like the work force of the 1920s talk to you like a dog. Rip patients off under the guise of being "Christian". Little to no training then throw you into the trenches. It's the good ole boy system out there. If you cheat, steal or lie you will fit in perfect. If you are honest forget it. If there were a minus 10 that's what I would give them.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of them all.

    Pros

NONE, NONE, NONE, NONE, NONE (min. 5 words)

    Cons

I can't give negative stars. This is the worst company I have ever worked for in my life. They are a religious organization full of liars and hypocrites. They have lied to me since day 1. HR is a joke, they don't do anything to help employees. Management is worthless, liars just looking out for themselves. Doctors and nurses are perfect and everyone else is wrong. That must be why they were caught buying them cars and other illegal activities. Shut your mouth and do your job or leave. You are here to work, not talk, unless it about the bible.

    Cons

nuresing staff are childish unprofessional..at night they think it's one big party especially in er the content and loudness of there conversation is highly inappropriate doctors includes himself in all the fun..very sad and disappointing where there to provide a healing enviroment not a night club or stripper bar.

    Advice to Management

moniter er nights more closer enforce the rules of conduct and clean house of those that are there for the wrong reasons. Please , above all...teach them to use there inside voices patients deserve a healing enviroment

I have been working at Park Ridge Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay but thats only benefit they provide

    Cons

Company is all about squeezing as much money out of patients as possible. Most departments are basically designed to scam money, not provide care.

    Advice to Management

Focus on helping patients and treat them as they should be treated, not as dollar signs.
