I have been working at Parkdean Holidays full-time

    Pros

I manage a great team who work very hard.

    Cons

Avoid this place at all cost. Its the closest thing to a sweat shop. Minimum wage, unrealistic targets, On full time hours the bonus was around £50.00. Trying to sell Bed Linen and entertainment passes to customers who have booked £9.50 holidays through The Sun. Management have " A them and us" mentality but they are also just as poorly paid as the Sales Agents. No body knows what the other is doing. You have been warned.

    Advice to Management

Need to have a conversation with the Forecasters. It is unfair the place the burden of lost revinue onto the lowest paid agents in the company. Grow a Backbone !!

I worked at Parkdean Holidays full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only advantage was working a lot of hours made the money seem worth while.

    Cons

Lack of support from management, myself and colleagues reported my line manager for mutiple offences including racism and homophobia and no disciplinary procedure was given. We were constantly understaffed. Very little reward or recognition for any of your work. Wage very poor for a supervisory role.

    Advice to Management

Listen to staff more. Don't make every member of staff feel disposable. Consider people are people not objects. Don't allow racists and homophobes to work for the company.

I worked at Parkdean Holidays full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good wage for an apprenticeship. Experienced team that are able to help support you in your role and plenty of opportunities to visit sites across the UK.

    Cons

Not a lot of support in finding employment after the apprenticeship, which is key because there is no guaranteed employment after your contract expires.

    Advice to Management

Help support apprentices finding further employment, e.g. training sessions, cv reviews, job club
