    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Parker Drilling full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This 75+ year old company is restructuring and planning for growth and expansion opportunities. Parker introduced a proactive and effective new leadership team in 2012. Implemented new benefits, training, and perks to employees in 2013. Paid out bonuses in 2012. Expanded revenue generating capabilities of Technical Services.

    Cons

Need to strengthen Change Management strategies. There is a high concern amongst employees about what will happen next and how it will impact their jobs. A solid Change Management strategy would address this and increase retention.

    Advice to Management

Don't give up, stay aligned. I will be crucial to execute on stragties, now more that ever. Your efforts will be rewarded.

I worked at Parker Drilling full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Alaskan side of this company was amazing! They had awesome benefits and were just very good all around. Instead of laying me off they transferred me which is awesome

    Cons

The Louisiana side wasn't so good, all the employees said Alaskan were Teal in there jobs and basically tried to run me out of LA. Even though the company transferred so they wouldn't have to lay me off. Especially the driller "porkchop" real POS

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work but try to make sure that all the crews are accepting to new people including people from another state, I felt really uncomfortable in LA.
