I worked at Party City part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I like working their because I liked working on projects, helping customers and managing the front part of the store. I also like how busy it was and that would make the day go so much faster.

    Cons

I was not getting paid enough for the amount of work I was doing.

I have been working at Party City full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Family atmosphere, Friendly supervisor/co-workers, Easy position to learn, flexible scheduling, you can move up the ranks quickly.

    Cons

Micromanaging district manager, poor scheduling (not enough staff on duty), be prepared to do the job of 3 people, Co-workers don't always jump in to help when busy, when there is a full staff your hours will be cut. They don't appreciate the good help they have. Nothing ever seems to be good enough.

    Advice to Management

The need to look into the behavior of their district manager. I can see why there is high turnover at our location. He is a bully to put it bluntly.

I worked at Party City part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company is family friendly and seems to care for the responsibilities one has with family. Also, it is a fun to work in the party type of atmosphere.

    Cons

There is not much training so it can make the new employee feel unsure of job responsibilities. Also, it is physically demanding. This is something that they do not make clear during interview process. There seems to be a lot of tension between the managers and cashiers. Often, it seems like the cashiers do not want to listen to managers.

    Advice to Management

Provide more training when have new employee

I have been working at Party City part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a fun store to work at. Most people and co-workers are nice

    Cons

Only Gm, Assistant Gm and team leads can be full time. I feel that full time should be more open choice... Also that Things in the store should be more fair. And people should keep their personal lives out of work

    Advice to Management

Be more careful with you workers under you.
