    Pros

It's a casual setting. Not too stiff. The pay is alright and the seniors are great! Co-workers are the same as anyplace else. Some you get along with and some are just regular chaos agents.

    Cons

Racist Senior Management. Hardly a minority in sight when you visit the downtown office but plenty in lower paying subordinate positions. Yet minorities represent a huge portion of their residential census. The people chosen to occupy executive and corporate positions are not chosen based on their knowledge of the industry. They are chosen based on who they know and their skin color.
Many state rules are being broken in order to fill each community to capacity. Some illegal activity has taken place as well. Bottom line is they don't really care about the people they provide a service to, although they pretend to. In essence it is really a nursing home without the proper staff to care for the residents. There really needs to be an organization to oversee such facilities besides the State of Illinois.

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your rear ends and improve your organization for the benefit of the people you serve. The things that are happening or not happening in your facilities are a direct result of what is happening at the top. Your leadership sucks! Get it together. By the way I only gave one star for Senior Management and Culture because I couldn't give zero.

    Pros

Work life balance. Just a place to work for salary only. Job security if you try not not to be a rising star.

    Cons

Clique culture, Staff in transition, 25% t/o. Paper budget is more of a concern, pressure to keep building 98-100% filled. Staff interaction not fun.

    Advice to Management

Downtown: Read Dale Carnegie books/live the advice. Engage employees, say good morning good night. Your interaction is insulting to new employees.
