    Pathways has a great work environment. All my co-workers at the sites I work at are supportive of eachother, and all the office people I have met have been very pleasant and full of positive energy. It seems like most people work their because they truly want to and enjoy it not because they get a paycheck.     Pay- Pathways pays similar or slightly more than other companies I have worked for in the past, but it general I don't feel like DSPs are paid enough. I know the state controls our wages, so hopefully someone at the capitol recognizes that things need to change soon. Location

    Advice to Management

    Continue to reach out to and inform your employees about the changes that happen with the state. A lot of my co-workers did not know that the state controls our wages and were mad at Pathways for not increasing them. They also did not know that there is a shortage of workers in this area, and were blaming PTC for the high turnover in certain positions. Also, consider moving some of your houses closer together maybe?...

    Great Individuals, Mileage Reimbursement, and Feels like you are making a difference.

    Cons

    Awful Management! Always throw the staff under the bus, and only cares about the income of the company. Downgraded many of the activities the individuals love to "save money"! Only cares about the upper management not the individuals. Not Flexible at all and will guilt trip staff to helping with shifts. Even upper level DSP staff have no say and the title is just a complete joke! The titles are made up to guilt people...

    Have management and actually management and listen to the staff who are in the field doing the work, instead of acting like the staff's opinions or concerns are a joke!

    - Flexible with scheduling, good for students or those with another job -Positive environments for clients -Locally owned, not too large of a company

    Cons

    -stagnant pay -pay not reflective of amount of workload and stress involved.

    Helping the clients and making them happy

    Cons

    Horrible mileage compensation, NOT flexible at all with your schedule (they dont care if you have an emergency), the "LEADERS" do not have a decent communicating gene in their body. [lots of "yups" and "of course!"]. They do not listen to you genuinely. Supervisors do not accurately train their staff, supervisors gossip about other staff to other staff which is very unprofessional. Most "on site" training lasts hands...

    Advice to Management

    REVAMP YOUR COMPANY! Start with accurately training your leaders to communicate EFFECTIVELY with staff. Your methods are not working. This "company" is meant to improve the lives of clients and help them get out into the community not lollygag and cash in on others. READ A BOOK.

    Pros

    Meet new people, get to do fun activities, learn how to deal with difficult behaviors, Be first hand to witness ,the people pathways help, the joy and friendships we bring

    Cons

    The schedule is all over the place working from 7am to 8:30-9 almost daily for M-F . You’ll have breaks in your schedule but maybe an hour or two so not enough time to go home or do anything but sit in your car and wait til your next shift

    Advice to Management

    You’re doing great everyone feels appreciated. Schedules are hard we know that but still continue to make them a little less miserabel

    I love the line of work we do and seeing the big impact we have on our consumers! Being able to help integrate them into the community through activities has a huge impact on the lives of many people. They are really flexible and understanding of life and like to go with the flow. The coworkers are exceptional and very supportive of growing together so that the consumers can better be served. They are open to new ideas...

    Cons

    It's not a field for everyone because of the kind of work we do it can be taxing. Pretty easy to get burnt out if you forget self care. Sometimes there can be drama in the work place (but what work place doesn't have drama?). Have to be open to change because it is an ever changing line of work. Each day is a very unique and different day. Sometimes can be unclear with expectations but just need to ask for clarification.

    Advice to Management

    Talk to all of your staff more frequently to ensure they are happy with what's going on. Other than that keep up the good work and I am exceptionally pleased with what is going on!

    I love working here because there is no drama, everyone wants to help you grow and be better at what you do, and even though it's hard work it's rewarding!

    Only Cons is it's a lot of driving.

    Pros

    - A welcoming and nurturing environment. - Commitment to its mission statement. - Flexible and varied work place. - Advancement opportunities. - Upper management is receptive to feedback. - The opportunity to support and serve individuals in need. - Fulfilling.

    - Staff turnover rate. - Late and/or inconvenient hours (position dependent). - Heavy use of personal vehicle (position dependent).

    Advice to Management

    Continue to push toward transparency in all levels of the work place. The greater the connection there is between upper management and those working in the field helps to create a unified vision and goal.
