    Pros

Patterson has decent benefits, good people, CEO seems to care and I believe will continue to be good for the company

    Cons

Recently implemented a new ERP and with large projects like this in most companies there's been some bumps in the road. However it has improved greatly over the past year.

    Pros

Flexible schedule allowing for doctor's visits, sick children and working from home.

    Cons

The company strives on reaction instead of pro-action. It is also an environment of bullying and harassment.

I have been working at Patterson Companies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I work with some very talented, dedicated, collaborative people! Culture is relatively relaxed: business casual dress, I'm able to work remotely sometimes, no micromanagement. Easy commuting from multiple directions, since the corporate headquarters is right off of IH-35E and there's plenty of parking. The cafeteria was just remodeled and offers expanded, food-court type options that still include a $3 entree daily.

    Cons

Seating in many areas is "mega-cubes" with eight workstations, which is a nightmare for anyone whose work requires intense, extended focus. Very few enclosed cubicles, and these are reserved for sales and marketing folks who make a lot of phone calls. Work priorities seem to change often, though this is stabilizing a bit recently. It's been a bit of a rough transition from a salesperson-focused model to majority e-commerce. New dedication to/funding for IT infrastructure and customer experience are a major step in the right direction.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee retention. I've seen a lot of excellent people leave for better pay and growth opportunities. Continuity is key for the high-achieving teams we have in place, if you want to maintain progress.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule. Always changing. Travel.

    Cons

Schedule is flexible but you must stay on the move to keep moving forward. Which some may not like, I enjoy it. Do wish they matched for 401k better

    Advice to Management

The little things matter. Keep on a positive track and dont hit the brakes. Wish we did some matching on 401k
