I have been working at Paychex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Getting access to some resources from such a large company and some of the training. It's a good "foot in the door" company. Good benefits.

    Cons

Pay is not very comprehensive and continually harder to earn the same as quotas are raised without a raise in base pay.

    Advice to Management

Management is not always as great as it should be. Some fantastic managers some lacking allot and seems like an unwillingness to invest time and money when and where needed.

I worked at Paychex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    reasonably fair for work/life balance

    Cons

They hire unprofessional and inexperienced kids right out of college and excuse poor and inappropriate behavior because they are young.

They push people out of their positions if they are not at goal by telling them that if they sign a resignation letter and then they will help you get into a new position in the company. WHEN YOU LEAVE A JOB YOU CAN NOT GET UNEMPLOYEMENT. But they never help anyone find a new position. Credit is given to people who cheat. And nothing is done about the high school like environment and disrespect towards other employees. If your position is not a good fit for you, you have to stay in that position for a year before you can promote to another. Which is not a promotion. Its getting a new job. And politics get in the way of getting into new positions.

    Pros

Paychex is a truly outstanding place to work. I transitioned to Paychex from a Top 100 Company 3 months ago and couldn't be happier with the decision I made to join this team! Everyone is supportive of one another and there is a genuine camaraderie. In addition, there are plenty of training opportunities to better yourself and enhance your skill set, as well as opportunities to learn and grow.

    Cons

I do not have any cons.

I have been working at Paychex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Caring company who supports employees during times of need (wind storms, Hurricane Sandy, etc.), including donating time for those employees going through a traumatic life experience (child going through cancer). Wonderful colleagues that have true parternship. Great benefits!

    Cons

Workload tends to be high so you need to be take charge and executer.

    Advice to Management

Continue to create a culture of appreciation during high volume times.

I have been working at Paychex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I love being a part of the Paychex family because of the values lived here daily. I am challenged and encouraged to my full potential. I have opportunity every day to learn and share my knowledge. The sky is the limit here at Paychex if you work hard and embrace changing with the times of our industry. I have never considered this my job but rather my career and my family.

    Cons

In previous years I would have said that a "con" is work/lift balance within some departments. However, Paychex does a very good job with changing with the times. You will now see more opportunities for flexible scheduling and working from home/remotely.
