I worked at Peabody full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people and used to be great work environment

    Cons

This used to be a premiere place to work in St. Louis, but with reorganization and reliance on trying to be a "global" company when we did not fit the definition, we have allowed ourselves to become a second rate company with no plans to diversify, reliance on managers from another country who do not know our business or culture and a lot of "yes" men who will not speak up with new ideas because it is unfavorable. Peabody has outsourced so many corporate positions, you may as well change the name to TCS. Very sad to see this, but Godspeed.

I have been working at Peabody

    Pros

Great people and management. Everyone is extremely helpful, friendly, and nice. They care about you as a person. Higher-ups are approachable and easy to talk with.

    Cons

Not very challenging, doesn't seem to be a ton of room for growth within the department. Outlook for the coal industry is somewhat of a concern.

Great people, work/life balance, competitive salary, discounted parking garage cost, flexible hours.

    Cons

Health care and dental plan is not as good as some other companies. It's ok just not as good as some previous employers but the salary they pay makes up for it.
