    Pros

Eye opening, life changing, motivating way to touch the world and learn about yourself. Join if you are willing to commit the time.

Isolation, I was sick often but it was still worth it for the experience, they really did their best to take care of us.

    Connect with your volunteers

Peace Corps Washington should work on better empathizing with applicants and volunteers, instead of worrying adhering to banal regulations.

I have been working at Peace Corps full-time

    Pros

Working to support U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers and the agency's mission is an honor.

    Cons

The five-year rule for employees insures a constant staff turn-over. The workplace churn can be difficult, even with an unusually dedicated staff.

    Advice to Management

The five-year rules hurts the agency more than it helps. Poor performing employees just ride out the five years, while the high performers are moved from position to position.
