Incredible company who truly cares about their people. Their values are spot on and their people truly matter most.

    Cons

    Can't think of any!

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Peak Campus part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved dealing with leases, interacting with residents, and helping people! I always wanted to own properties so this job really helped with confirming that.

    Cons

Sometimes you feel unheard or unappreciated.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to your consultant's ideas, implement ideas to keep the residents happy, and have more incentives for everyone to want to do the best they can. Also, the uniforms are very unprofessional in the real estate world. Consultants and managers should be dressed business casual... not in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.

I worked at Peak Campus part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Peak Campus is honestly one of the best companies in housing. I absolutely love the upper managment, how they expect their company to run and the expectations they have of their employees. I would highly recommend working for them as long as the property you are working for has good management within itself. This job also convinced me to go into sales because in general I really did love the work I did and what I was selling.

    Cons

The apartment property I worked for I also lived at. I would often find myself working over 40 hours even as a student because many of my colleagues would not do their work correctly and I would frequently stay behind to help the property manager finish work that should have been completed sooner. This manager was probably responsible for much of the dysfunction and lack of efficiency. I ultimately ended up leaving because I was working too much and our manager was both emotionally and literally all over the place- it was either a good working environment or incredibly hostile. That manager has since been replaced, but I have not heard great things about their replacement either. Overall for a job as a student, it was decent and the pay was phenomenal.

    Advice to Management

Personally I think there should be more effort put into choosing all staff at every property.

I worked at Peak Campus part-time

    Pros

Not a whole lot is positive about Peak. Decent pay and not a very demanding job. Easy to get hired.

    Cons

Promotes a "unique company culture" but doesn't do much to back it up. Management from all levels does nothing to respond to concerns of employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. HR needs to actually respond to complaints, and try to solve the problem, not work around it.

I worked at Peak Campus part-time

    Pros

Opportunity to advance with the company
    Fun events

    Cons

The pay is not worth the work that you have to do as a leasing consultant.
There is no rent discount, so there is really no point in accepting such low pay for such a rigorous job.

I worked at Peak Campus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I loved working for Peak Campus: great company culture, instructional training and excellent approach to customer service.

    Cons

I feel cooperate should monitor each property manager a little more than basing success just by occupancy percentages.

    Advice to Management

Keep refining to appeal to the demographic, implement more extensive monitoring of property manager's and continue having an awesome work culture!
