Good pay, you get a break, it is fun

I have been working at Peapod full-time

    Pros

If you work hard enough and have the right skills you can move up in the company.
The pay is decent and you need little to no experience to start in all warehouse positions.
    Good benefits with 401K

    Cons

You usually have to work on holidays and overtime is mandatory. Management in warehouse locations is a joke. If you want to see improvement, start looking at some of your long time managers who no longer think they need to do anything.

    Advice to Management

Accountability is lacking in almost all areas. Define who is accountable for what and stick to that. When people know what they are responsible for, they will work harder to make sure they do their part well.

I worked at Peapod as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The corporate office had a very friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment. They made you feel like family and employees were helpful and nice.

    Cons

Lack of communication, mainly from the HR department, proved to be a big issue. Primarily with past employees who needed to get in contact with HR for various reasons.

    Advice to Management

Have more HR staff at the corporate level who are readily available to tackle concerns and issues with employees, both past and current.

    Pros

You get a lot of overtime.
You get a bonus if you pick over 230 or plus an hour.
Great for money opportunity and get to meet people.

    Cons

    Overtime is sometimes last minute.
Its mandatory to work in multiple areas of the warehouse so if you work in dry expect to be put into chill on a business need basis.

Great work environment and great people at the company. Feels very much like a family.

A very lean environment with a lot to manage for an individual with no back up or direct reports to share the responsibility.

I worked at Peapod part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Convenient Hours
    Decent Pay
I think this is a great part time job to supplement your income. The management does appreciate their long term employees. When I first started, the company wasn't as large and it was more of a close it family.

    Cons

    Call center environment
    High turnover
Unfortunately as the company expanded, it focused more on profit and made a lot of shortcuts which in turn affected its customer base and its employees.

    Advice to Management

Focus on retaining employees instead of treating them as another number.

I worked at Peapod full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Healthy office environment. Great People to work with. Friendly and professional management.

    Cons

Not too much to learn especially in the IT team. Compensation is just fair or less than than average by little

    Advice to Management

I think you are doing good as long as your people matter to you more than the processes and policies. let process and policies serve the interest of your employees not the opposite.
