    Fun place to work. High energy and very friendly atmosphere. Supervision is very proactive when it comes to helping you succeed in your job.

    Workmates are like family, supervisors are always helpful.

    Cons

    Low pay, always graveyard or night shift for new employees.

    Adjust your hourly rate so people will want to work for you and they can treat customers better.

    Pros

    Good benefits, good compensation, awesome co-workers, and awesome leaders!!! My experience at Pechanga has been great. If you apply yourself, work hard to improve yourself (like education, certifications, degrees), then you will succeed!

    Cons

    Year-end bonus is way below average. Most good companies give you a percentage of your salary at the end of the year, like 10% for example, but not at Pechanga. You get a very small year-end bonus and a very small gift card maybe twice a year. :-(

    Advice to Management

    My executive management is doing and awesome job and from my experience the other execs are fantastic. I can't speak for other department managers, but IT is probably the best place to work at Pechanga!

    Pros

    Benefits are good. The company offers medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, vacation and sick time to full-time employees. Part-time workers can also get partial benefits if eligible.

    Cons

    Company states they offer pay for performance. This is not true. Lazy slackers tend to receive the same percentage as top performers. Percentages are kept artificially low so managers can receive more for their bonuses. Shift managers are exempt from some policies, like attendance, which leads to abuse of the system and some managers hardly working 30 hours but getting their pay for 40. Corrupt managers are protected by senior management. The poker room is constantly short-staffed so all members need to work harder. There are many times when workers in the poker room don't even get breaks. It takes 3-6 months to get replacements due to the extensive background checks that are required.

    Advice to Management

    If you want to be the best you need to do everything possible to get and keep the best people. Pay the best, hold the best to the highest standards and accept nothing less. The slackers need to be terminated. They reduce the guest experience and hold back the productivity of other workers. Get rid of the poor and corrupt managers. The kill the morale of the workers. The room needs a fresh face to help boost morale.
