I have been working at Pegasus Transportation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is competitive and they always have extra work if you have the hours left and want to do run extra

    Cons

Benefits are lacking and need cheaper health care premiums and more paid holidays

    Advice to Management

Management does a pretty good job at Pegasus, keep it up

I worked at Pegasus Transportation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing Good that I can think of.

    Cons

Tractors are junk with torn seats, torn sleeper curtains and leaking oil. I pointed it out to safety and he told me don't worry about it. Tractors are not fixed properly. You can clearly see these tractors are not the best even by looking at them in the outside. Management and high supervisors condone cocky disrespectful attitude towards drivers. Dont think higher supervisors will have integrity, because they don't. They're not proffesional and very disrespectful. It's insane how grown men with 12 year old child mentality run pegasus. I just got hired with another different company who runs tractors that ride like"cadillacs" compared to pegasus garbage semis. I'm also going to be making about $200 more a week with this other company. I cant believe people still work for pegasus. The smart drivers are not afraid of change from being abused from pegasus and seek better opportunity. I feel like I won the lottery by leaving pegasus and finding better treatment, pay and a thousand times better rig to drive.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and stop acting like children.

I have been working at Pegasus Transportation (Less than a year)

    Pros

The money can be good if you can tolerate all that goes with it. Long team runs available.

    Cons

They will make promises then come up with excuses why they can't deliver. In two and a half months we haven't been home when they said we would yet. Insurance is expensive to the point of not worth having. It's just been one hassle after another. Not worth it.

    Advice to Management

This is the most disorganized company I've ever worked for. All of dispatch acts like they don't know what's going on. They don't listen when drivers talk to them. You need to get it together. There's a reason there is a revolving door there.

I have been working at Pegasus Transportation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tons of freight. Mostly all dedicated loads and home on weekends. Fair pay.

    Cons

Pay could be comparable to current companies. Return back to the old days when you actually trusted what your drivers say. Reward your drivers for doing something out of the normal requirements.

    Advice to Management

Get you head out of you butt would be a good start.

    Pros

A strong, stable company. We're small enough where everyone knows everyone by name, but big enough to keep the wheels turning. Good equipment, weekly home time.

    Cons

Nothing out of the ordinary for the trucking industry.
