Great people but the pay is below market.

There exists many opportunities to grow and advance and they try to promote from within. The management is very loyal to good employees. They are very flexible with work / life balance and working remotely.
Cons
The total compensation is below market. The sales comissions are not attainable - most SCs only achieve 60-80 % of On Target Earnings. The Health Insurance for in state (MA) employees is great but for other state residency the Health Insurance is very poor. They also do not pay home office expenses for remote employees which is absurd.

Not a company for passionate coders
Oct 26, 2019 - Anonymous Employee in HyderābādRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good Infrastructure in office , Lunch, Cab, Good pay.
Cons
This is not at all a company for passionate coders as most of the teams work 90% on the tool . Culture is toxic here, Seniors torture juniors with their superiority and Managers belittles Experienced by comparing with freshers. There is a lot of micro management and loads of work.No work life balance.

A growing company that prides itself on high standards
Jan 8, 2015 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have been with the company for 18 months and the leadership team has dedicated a lot of time in investing in my career here. I feel supported and able to effectively excute in my role. I feel I get paid fairly and my work life balance is respected. I work with a fantastic team who are proud of their work. Pega is growing, but still small enough for you to be visible and make an impact. Delivery is key.
Cons
Pega moves at a fast pace where you must pay attention to keep up. It's a challenge and expectations of you are high.

Constantly shifting priorities

Good technology and innovative company.
Cons
Limited work life balance with long hours and travel. Constantly shifting business strategy and priorities.

Pros
- Good pay - Good location for commuting - not so much for anything else - Occasional free food - Some people are actually decent and worthwhile interacting with - They are starting to care about diversity? Maybe..?
Cons
- Pega isn't going to help you get a job anywhere else. You have to learn how to build software within Pega software, which means learning very specialized skills that can't be directly applied elsewhere. - You have to sign a vague-sounding non-compete which will only hurt you later. - Upper-management does nothing. Toxic people are allowed to drive people out without consequence. - People have been laid-off last-minute for no reason. - Work/life balance greatly depends on your team/manager. - No innovation. - They do whatever the client wants because they need the cash. - Can't trust everyone - people won't hesitate to throw you under the bus. - Incompetent people who don't know what they're doing combined with client-driven deadlines = broken software.
