I have been working at Penn National Gaming full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunities to move up if you qualify , fun atmosphere where they try their best to make us happy, great equipment to get work done, supportive leadership with the exception of a few most leadership is helpful at wanting to see you rise up the ranks.

    Cons

The fun atmosphere tends to lead to a complacent atmosphere. The leadership wants to be everyone friend and that leads to disrespect. The union also supports workers that shouldn't be supported and makes the good workers want to leave because they are overworked.

    Advice to Management

If you want to get a handle on high turnover stop treating the working base like kids that need prizes for doing their job. Stand up to the union and get rid of the ridiculous point system.

I have been working at Penn National Gaming full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a great company to work for and to learn from. The LEAP position is a perfect fit for anyone willing to grow within the company.

    Cons

It's assuring to know you will be offered a position after completing the full LEAP rotation. BUT, it's also a little nerve wracking not knowing where in the company that may be or how the decision will be made.

I have been working at Penn National Gaming part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is probably the best company to work for, in my opinion. They are very professional, and do a lot for morale. Their commitment to promote from within is a huge highlight.

    Cons

I can't think of anything...as a table games dealer, working with Penn National is a wonderful experience.

I have been working at Penn National Gaming full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

PNG provides up to date resources and tools to allow all employees the opportunity to advance in their future careers. They offer several leadership based programs as well as partnering with different community schools to offer higher level education. They also keep an open communication policy with their employees and encourage employee empowerment in the workplace.

    Cons

Every individual property is different. More communication tools that allow properties to communicate customer service and employee engagement ideas might be useful. A standardized network from which to pull database data from across properties.
