    Pros

Penn is a good company that strives to treat people fairly and compensates based on performance. There is a realistic approach with sincere concern for the people that drive the organization. Penn focuses on supporting a decentralized approach to management of local operations.

    Cons

Diversity of the company inhibits communications and standardized practices.

    Advice to Management

Maintain the balance between rapid growth and organic growth.

I have been working at Penn National Gaming full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great training facility for people new to the gaming industry. Supervisors and experienced employees are willing to help you out with any questions. Hourly compensaton paid to us by the company may be low but as a dealer we have a good hourly tip rate. Great flexibility when it comes to scheduling, (i.e. being able to switch start times and days with other employees). Newer employees had the opportunity to be promoted to being a full supervisor with less than one year's experience. We received medical, dental and vision insurance after working for 6 months.

    Cons

Every weekend is a blackout date for dealers.

    Advice to Management

For me personally I have no complaints, however there are many employees and not all are satisfied.

I have been working at Penn National Gaming part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

lots of experience to be gained that can be applied to virtually any field and everyone who works here is friendly and has a tremendous spirit of teamwork. From execs to housekeeping, we all treat each other like we are part of a well oiled machine.

    Cons

It is such a hip and happening place with the best gaming and rewards card in the area, unfortunately as an employee we cannot take advantage of any of it

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to take more risks in our advertising, I don't see why we should be the most conservative casino, we are Hollywood!!!! lets capitalize on my co workers and my desire to be unique and really stand out in our market
