    Pros

    Great opportunity to learn what it takes to complete a medical research study. Opportunities to work independently and with small groups. Fair amount of friendly people that work here.

    Cons

    When working in conjunction with other departments, communication breakdowns can make work very strenuous. This is largely due to politics. LSU's budget cuts affects who stays and who goes. Very limited mobility in this company.

    Advice to Management

    Need people with common sense and people that know how to relate to people. Book knowledge, science, isn't all you need to manage a research center.

    -work with leading researchers and scientists
    -independence when working on projects
    -opportunities to serve as co-author

    Cons

    -can be slow at times
    -dwindling funding due to issues within the state government

    Advice to Management

    -have sessions where interns can meet one another and other staff not in their departments, perhaps a lecture series

    Awesome work environment. Great medical benefits and time off. 14 paid holidays off not including leave. Fitness center on site.

    Raises have been seldom over the last 6 years due to state budget cuts.

    I loved working here. The work you do directly impacts important medical research. The campus is beautiful with nice amenities for employees.

    Pay is not great but not terrible.

    Pros

    I love getting to work on a variety of projects at different levels - intervention, project support, etc. The work is ever-changing while having your normal daily tasks that a part of an ongoing clinical trial. Great benefits. Very flexible. A caring group of people to work for. Overall, Pennington is a great place to work.

    Cons

    Difficult to get raises but if you move up and take on more responsibilities, it will be considered
