    Pros

The management are very accommodating to class schedules and other school related activities in relation to work schedules.

    Cons

Keep up the great work and keep hiring both students and full-time in order to accommodate finals and midterm schedules.

I have been working at Pennsylvania College of Technology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relaxed work environment, one of the best paying computer programmer jobs in the area.

    Cons

Recent changes in benefits have made it pretty good instead of awesome. Lack of communication from management about employee compensation changes make for some weirdness.

I worked at Pennsylvania College of Technology (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working at Penn College is very rewarding, the students create a lot of energy and the benefits are wonderful. It is a great place to work and earn your degree!

    Cons

It is difficult to compete with other internal candidates when hoping to move into another position within the institution.

I worked at Pennsylvania College of Technology (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved working with students and other employees in a fast paced setting

    Cons

Never felt appreciated by management, never discreet with confidential matters, and employee evaluations made you feel like crap when any other place I have ever worked believed in pumping you up, not making you feel mediocre at best.

    Advice to Management

Don't believe everything you hear. Sometimes the biggest complainer is the one that needs the most attention focused on them, for their lack of team effort.

I worked at Pennsylvania College of Technology full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. Great group of fellow employees.

    Cons

Promotion is difficult. Unless you are one of the "selected" ones, forget about advancing. Many positions are never announced. Inconsistent practices and procedures. Some people receive special treatment. Too much favoritism. It's great for those who are liked or are removed from the politics. Consistently eliminating positions. Use fear of losing one's job as a motivator.

    Advice to Management

This could be a great place to work if not for the favoritism and politics.

I have been working at Pennsylvania College of Technology (More than a year)

    Pros

I work in dining services, so my previous experience has been in restaurants. working at Penn College I love the fact that I do not have to put up with the normal harassment that goes on at most restaurants. there is no sexual harassment from cooks, no catty nastiness from management. the management team are all very team conscious and handle problems that do arise very quickly and respectfully. most of the staff is working moms just trying to have a good day.

    Cons

There is very little hope for full time employment & benefits.
