    Pros

    Competitive salary and generous benefits options, Executive team recognized portfolio quality needed to be addressed and took action to address.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations and deadlines with lack of related project funding or support from executives and senior management resulted in unheslthy work environment and unnecessary backstabbing between departments.

    Pros

    Loved working for the company. Very thoughtful board and president. The staff is very welcoming and they are always finding ways to treat employees

    Cons

    There are the usual cons which depend on the manager you have. There are a few managers that were very thoughtless and racists. A few who were snotty. But overall I enjoyed my work environment and found it easy to ignore those whom I saw mistreat others

    Advice to Management

    Act on signs of racism swiftly and managers that mistreat those that they manage. it shouldn't take years for someone to mistreat someone and then they quit before you attempt to do something.

    Pros

    *Fairly nice people to work with (sometimes). *There's a nice work/life balance (most times). *There's some room to grow if you have the patience to wait.
    *We got some holidays off
    *Free snacks
    *An "ok" company to work for if you're willing to deal with the b/s

    Cons

    *Be prepared to work during your lunch. The employee handbook specifically states that all employees are entitled to their work free lunch but that's not true. I'm still surprised that they have not gotten in trouble with the law.
    *In my experience, everyone likes to talk behind your back and there is a lot of drama for no reason at all. It's petty. Like high school.
    *People have mood swings GALORE. One day they are happy the next they are a grinch but you can't say anything or you'll get in trouble.
    *Higher turnover
    *Pay sucks and raises are only 1-4% no matter how long you have worked there. 17 cents is a joke for a multimillion dollar company.
    *Higher management thinks they are better than everyone and likes to talk down to their employees yet they want all the respect in the world.
    *Part timers get the shorter end of the stick with no benefits ever yet are expected to work like full timers. I felt bad for them.
    *everyone will throw you under the bus
    *Some managers do not know how to speak to an employee about a problem, they have to reprimand all employees like children. It's ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees as you would like to be treated. Don't speak to them like children and talk down to them or embarrass them. Higher the raises for your employees that have worked for you forever. Keep an eye on who is worth keeping instead of firing your hard workers.

    Pros

    Gets decent amount of publicity in papers for its properties

    Cons

    CEO is an arrogant pompous leader, company is filled with sons and nephews and cousins of owners, all with lofty managemenet titles and dubious functions

    Advice to Management

    Hire some outsiders. It's like working in a family reunion.

    Pros

    Competitive compensation. Very good benefits package including flex spending, employer contribution and variety of health insurance selections, discounted stock purchase, etc.

    Cons

    Inconsistent communication, prioritizing, financial and personnel resources has led to unrest at all levels within the company. Culture has become a click work environment - small group is "in", the rest are "out".

    Pros

    Not much favorable to say. It is a large company with relatively comfortable office environment. Co-workers are helpful but under constant pressure to meet ever changing demands/deadlines.

    Cons

    Company is driven purely by the dollar. It has no soul. Staff-level personnel think nothing of submitting employees to 18-hour days in order to meet their personal goals/incentive bonuses. Fall short of impossible demands and expect to be tossed out in a heartbeat like dirty laundry.

    Advice to Management

    You can continue along your existing path for only so long. The word is out on the street that employees are treated like dirty laundry, to be used and tossed out.
