I have been working at Penske Media Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture at PMC is friendly and professional and allows for personal growth. It's literally the best company I've ever worked at.

    Cons

Being a big corporation, PMC can sometimes move a bit slowly for my liking, but every request is ultimately fulfilled.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. I wish I had some cons to report, but honestly, it's a well oiled machine.

I have been working at Penske Media Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great culture, encouraging supervisors, fascinating industry, what 's not to like? Very positive atmosphere that fosters engagement and creativity. Team , across all departments, seem to get along famously.

    Cons

Outside of a brutal commute, can't really say! So far, so awesome. One thing: no 401k matching; that was a surprise.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps invest in career-pathing seminars to see if staff can grow vertically within the company.

I have been working at Penske Media Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Having worked at other major media companies, PMC stands out in a good way. The company is growing and if you have a solid work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit, there's opportunities for career growth. The people here are hard-working, goal-oriented and generally great to work with. You won't find over-the-top perks of a tech company, but they do make a concerted effort to treat their employees well with a nice office space, company outings and even day-to-day perks like free snacks and coffee. All in all, the company culture is positive.

    Cons

The cost of healthcare has risen and there's no 401K match in sight.

    Pros

Great co-workers. Beautiful office in Bryant Park area. Can't say much more. Snacks. A lot of diversity within teams. That's about it.

    Cons

Management. Pay. Structure. Technology. Support and mentor ship. Bad attitudes. No culture or social outings. No Christmas party. No reason to want to come into work. Too many rumblings of negative attitudes and outlook on company future. Sad to see WWD come to this.

    Advice to Management

Lower the egos and run a company.

    Pros

great entrepreneurial spirit within the company. PMC has been growing dramatically over the past 7 years. Lots of upward career opportunity. focus on premium editorial brands and businesses. PMC has a 2% charity foundation where employees can take paid time off to work for a personal charity or participate in a group activity.

    Cons

fast pace of work sometimes is challenging for folks, others love it. But then again, welcome to working in digital media.

I have been working at Penske Media Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is an influential company with room to grow. Despite owning century old properties, PMC operates like a start up, where ideas are incubated and given room to develop. The C-suite is loaded with active and talented executives, who are involved and available for advice, direction and collaboration. I'm delighted to be part of the team.

    Cons

It's easy to find negatives in any work environment, if you look hard enough. It depends on your personality, I imagine. Health care costs are expensive, though welcome to the modern cost of doing business in America.

I worked at Penske Media Corporation full-time

    Pros

Young company, casual culture and dresscode, nice coworkers, snacks in the kitchen, good place to gain experience, the first 6 months or so feel great, it's a good place to get a first job and then move on
Senior management is hit or miss, some are great

    Cons

No job training, all trial by fire, over worked and underpaid, company caters to management and ignores other employees, doesn't value the work you put in and treats you as replaceable, some managers just don't give a lot of feedback, but there are others who actually make people cry and no one does anything about it
The first 6 months feel great because of the people and you're new, but after that it gets worse when you start realizing no one is actually going to listen to your ideas or change anything

    Advice to Management

Listen more to employees, give more helpful feedback, value everyone not just people highest up, improve benefits, cheaper insurance and 401k matching would help

    Pros

-Nice entry level co workers, nice kitchen-stocked with anything you could ever want
-will look nice on your resume
-Variety Insight is used at a lot of different place so having knowledge of it is a plus.
    -Pretty quiet place to work
    -Nice view

    Cons

-I worked with a manager who shouldn't have had a direct report. This manager never gave a heads up when a performance review was happening. It wasn't a time for dialogue. This manager was just downright awful. I felt crazy because I couldnt understand why this manager would go out of their way to make me feel unwelcome and incompetent.
-Redundant data entry. VI is all data entry. It is boring.
-You'll be sitting at your desk staring at the screen all day. No one talks to each other.
-Everyone who worked there was just waiting for something better to come along.
-Everyone always had a gloomy outlook. People were depressed at the thought of working there until the end of the year.
-Salary is a joke, benefits are a joke-its just not good enough.
    -Clocking in and out.
-I saw them thank an employee of many years with cheap pizza. Thats what they think of their employees!
-No culture, no values no sense of team.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are miserable. Stop being cheap with the benefits and salary. Don't make people stay until 6pm for peets sake!
