I have been working at Pentair full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The location in Solon Ohio has great products and even greater people. This location has been thriving for over 100 years.

Pentair is in the process of impimenting Lean and has upgraded many of the machines and technology across all three plants.

The brands manufactured in Solon are word renown and their diversity is what has lead to this site being so successful.

    Cons

There has been some turnover at the leadership and plant level but this is to be expected with any recent acquisition.

    Advice to Management

Stay the corse and keep hiring in strong leaders. The next few years will be very exciting but will also bring lots of change.

I have been working at Pentair full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, descent pay, discounts on company products. Overall it's an okay company they're trying to make it better, it just seems to be disconnected.

    Cons

Too much shake ups in management, only promote from HQ office, always in plant a seasoned watchdog at smaller satellite sites. Update your ERP systems don't wait untill it goes absolete to do something about it.

    Advice to Management

There are talented people outside of Anoka, to the board of directors: get rid of the CEO he's wasting investors money, stop ripping the company apart and decide what you want to do. Don't make an acquisition just to split it up again it does not send a good signal to your employees. Instead of paying legal fees give people a bonus.

    Pros

You receive a paycheck for your effort. Having a job these days is a good thing.

    Cons

watch your career stagnate working on worthless projects that run understaffed. Do not expect to learn anything new.

    Advice to Management

    Increase R&D to match competition.

I have been working at Pentair full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, flexible shifts, can supply a cheap ice-cream or a bottle of water for free during extreme hit (119F).

    Cons

Extremely disorganized company, no training, no written instructions, non-English speaking staff (AZ), no A/C in the working area, harassment as a normal way of behavior.

    Advice to Management

Don't see any reason for any advises - they will die with such an approach. Easier to build from zero place.

I have been working at Pentair full-time

    Pros

Benefits package isn't terrible. (medical and dental and such)

    Cons

Absolutely no incentive to try and work to your best or put in to provide work you can be proud of. "We appreciate you is thrown around" but never is anything done to reflect that. Workers that put out subpar product are not held accountable. The business is full of nothing but empty promises and kind words.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Every decision I personally have seen either doesn't make a big enough difference or steps backward or is illogical. Respect workers because there is NONE for those who ultimately bring the money into the business

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    Change CEO in no time
