I have been working at Pentair full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, descent pay, discounts on company products. Overall it's an okay company they're trying to make it better, it just seems to be disconnected.

    Cons

Too much shake ups in management, only promote from HQ office, always in plant a seasoned watchdog at smaller satellite sites. Update your ERP systems don't wait untill it goes absolete to do something about it.

    Advice to Management

There are talented people outside of Anoka, to the board of directors: get rid of the CEO he's wasting investors money, stop ripping the company apart and decide what you want to do. Don't make an acquisition just to split it up again it does not send a good signal to your employees. Instead of paying legal fees give people a bonus.

I have been working at Pentair full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

We represent great products. Some of the employees in this company are great at mentoring.

    Cons

Benefits seem below average. Lower than average pay. HR doesn't reveal what hay level we are at and what salary range our hay level has.

    Advice to Management

Be more up-front about pay range. Offer career ladder options. Without that, it seems like we are expected to stay in the same job indefinitely.

I worked at Pentair full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Above average benefits, good pay. Room for advancement, but only due to the massive turnover. The corporation truly drives lean thinking into the every day. Opportunities for training throughout the company.

    Cons

Despite the long-term effects of lean thinking, the company is very short-sighted both in results and strategy. This is most likely the largest reason for the turnover. I've never seen a more dysfunctional HR team that almost seems to enjoy disintegrating relationships rather than building them.

    Advice to Management

Start putting as much emphasis on the support functions (engineering, finance and sales) as you do operations. By doing this you might find operations improves...
