If you have a passion for the people, this job is for you.
Extremely Low pay for those hired as RC Managers, even though the organization cannot survive without them on the ground. RC Managers play a key role in bridging the gap with the Residents/Residents Committee (RC) and the Community Centre (CC). The pay scheme is also not solely under PA which is weird. The RC pays half, and PA pays half, causing alot of friction within volunteers in RC and Colleagues in CC/ Eg : 'I pay you so you work for me' from both the RC and CC. As such you are trained in almost all the systems that your colleagues in the CC use, and must be able to take over anytime. You also must attend all courses to be on par with other CC staff. However, you are grossly underpaid for the level of work you do.Continue reading

There are many activities created for residents. I am very happy to get to know them better and interact with them. We organized tours and games for them and get to know their interests, likes and dislikes.
Sometimes we have to visit residents before we step into our office. These takes up much of our time and thus left us with lesser timing to rush through our work for the day.Continue reading

A challenging and satisfying job. Everyday is a learning journey. Meeting new residents and interacting with them gives me great pleasure. Government job. Good bonuses.
Is a contract job based on yearly renewal. No opportunities to convert to permanent. Increment is minimal. Need to pave your own career path. Subsidies not given to contract staff who wish to pursue studies. No field allowances given for outdoor event prep.Continue reading
