    Pros

I can't think of anything other than the pay... but that's changing. They are leveling the playing field "you're all getting a pay cut".

    Cons

Not much good to say, ever since they changed the titles of senior management, everyone became sour and didn't give a darn. So many important deals made with customers were forgetten about. Dispite following up weekly. The requests were just ignored. Customers didn't receive rebates for 6 months or more. They don't care about customers. They care about emails, "let's make some noise, we want chatter". How about just sell parts?

    Pros

ASE's were paid for. Incentives were Good until new take over. Vacation time. Pay. Corporate personnel in Philly are pleasant.

    Cons

Work schedule sucked. Mechanics are ok at best that are hired. Unless you have experience, you are considered crap. And unless you kiss but, you are crap. Upper mangement are WAYYYY OVER PAID IDIOTS who know nothing about cars and the equipment used to repair them.

    Advice to Management

Nothing to say. Technicians aren't monkeys. Pay them better.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Pep Boys part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Face paced at times, flexible banker hours. Some employees and management are enjoyable to work with as a team. Not many pros.

    Cons

Where to start, micro managed, no one does what their told by management, paid min wage to to more work then your paid for. No room for growth like advertised in training. Employee discount stinks when the online discount is better 99% of the time.

    Advice to Management

Hire more employees, stop micro management, throw your employees a bone once in a while.

I worked at Pep Boys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Money to pay your bills.

    Cons

Poor management that instead of trying to help employees improve simply vaguely threatens to fire "underperforming employees" at every pre-shift meeting. Also, the time you get off varies so it's difficult to have a social life.

    Advice to Management

Threatening employees does not motivate them, it creates a toxic work environment.
