Pros
Pepper is a great place to work. I've been at Pepper Indiana for 11 years and have always been impressed with the high caliber of people in our company. I am well supported by senior management. Pepper continues to look for ways to improve our operation and is open to new ideas. Pepper has built a culture of doing things right, even when it's not convenient. I have never felt pressured to cut a corner or do... anything less than what is right for the client and our company. I hope to work here until I retire.

Pros
There are limitless opportunities to recieve more training. PMs are always sharpening their skills and support staff is offered opportunites to learn the construction industry even if they are in an admin role (for example there is a blue print reading class for project assistants.) HR also helps employees develop their professional/interpersonal skills. If you enjoy being challenged and take advantage of the... training opportunities offered this is a great place for you.
Show MoreCons
If you are a project assistant, be wary of the guys club atmosphere. If you are lucky and work for someone who has been with the company a while, it is not too bad. Expect to be treated with respect, have a heavy workload and get a lot of gently phrased "feedback" if you screw up. **Don't expect the younger PMs to treat you very well** For some reason the PMs who are still in their 20s seem to be completely... ungrateful to project assistants. Assistants are given a lot of responsibility which is nice but don't expect to be included when your project team gets together for lunch or drinks and invites everyone on the project (including the interns)but not you...

HR and management are great. Learned so much working here and it is a great place. Pay attention to the fact that the APE's and interns dont always know how to work with an assistant.
