I worked at Pepperidge Farm full-time

    Pros

Pays well for the actual work beging done.

    Cons

Place is falling apart. Leadership and management have no idea what going on on the production floor. They do not appreciate hard workers.

    Advice to Management

Need to go on the floor to see what is going on. Most have no idea how the production line actually works. Stop creating procedures without knowing the impact on the process.

I worked at Pepperidge Farm full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work was fast paced and enjoyable. Training was very good. Employees are compensated well for overtime. They take making safety improvements very seriously to ensure the safety of their employees!

    Cons

Mandatory overtime and working every weekend were my only problems with the position. Again it was well compensated for (anything over 8 hours in a day, any weekend work was time and a half).

I worked at Pepperidge Farm full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Colleagues are fantastic, dedicated & hard working people, very committed to their jobs. Company makes some incredible products, primarily in the Snacks division.

    Cons

Due to downsizing efforts driven by the parent company, Campbell's, and the recent consolidation of many functions under Campbell's, there are far fewer people, all doing the work of 3-4 people. The workpace is FRANTIC, due to the loads & expectations. As evidence of the "brain drain" from the reorganizations & overloading of existing employees, Pepperidge claims to have made an error in their 2017 bonuses, & have asked employees to pay back 11%. Their bonus calculation is so obscure that there is no way for an employee to accurately calculate their bonus & question what the company is telling them. Definitely symptomatic of a company riddled with leadership issues.

    Advice to Management

Actually live the transparency you so proudly proclaim, quit overworking everyone in the company & divest dead or redundant brand lines. Fix your payroll issues that should qualify you for an egregious result in your annual audit; i.e.; develop a better system than an Excel spreadsheet that gets sent around the company for review by each team, opening it up to corruption, errors or plain negligence. Quit shoving socio-political activism down the throats of your employees & focus on selling people healthy food, not convincing people they should by your 140-year old legacy that is 'new & updated' for modern political correctness.

    Pros

Good base pay for manufacturing job
Ability to bid on in-house positions based on seniority
    Good benefits (Aetna)
    Plenty of hours

    Cons

Schedule changes day to day, hence no ability to plan anything outside work
    Poor management
    Poor leadership from supervisors
    Quality standards continually degrading
Seemingly no care for the employees
Training is handled very poorly, have to self teach many things
    No sick days
Going on medical costs you 1 point
Point system is unforgiving to personal circumstances.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Pepperidge Farm full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Originally this was a good Co. to work for, they actually cared about their Distributors. They would go out of their way to help each Distributor maximize his sales.

    Cons

Over the years the corporate mentality has taken over which has caused quality and relation with Distributors to slide. They now treat their own Distributors as the enemy, trying to undermine them at every turn.

    Advice to Management

I️ would not waste my words on these idiots. They think they know it all.
