I have been working at PepsiCo full-time

    Pros

Nice cafeteria and nice purchase campus.

    Cons

Horrible place to work especially the control and reporting team. Lots of butt kissing needed so get some good chap stick.

    Advice to Management

You need to take a deeper look into the people getting promoted fast and discourage the butt kissing.

    I worked at PepsiCo full-time

    Pros

Don’t work for Frito Lay unless you have no other choice in life. Salary is th best part if the hours weren’t insane.

    Cons

    -Zero work life balance
-Front desk lady even said that frito lay and having a relationship with a significant other don’t mix
-not recommended for recent grads who went to a 4 year college.
-forced to wear slacks and non slip shoes to stock shelves
-management is old and non progressive
    -never a steady schedule
    -on call
    -awful management program
-had to deal with dead and live rats at stores
    -unhealthy hours-early as 3 am
-10 hour days are the normal, a lot of days over 12 hours
-training program is garbage, and they are too busy with their own work to give you a fair learning experience
    -job was ALWAYS physical
-work with a bunch of bad tempered grocery store managers
-took them a month to get me a building card key
    -front desk lady was mean
    - managers are awful
    -They drug test

    Advice to Management

-Hire out of junior college, you don’t know how to develop young professionals who went to prestigious schools. All my fellow 4 year college beware! Be homeless before working this job.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Being able to have a large company on your resume.

    Cons

This program is horrible. The turnover rate is very high and for a good reason. They lie to you in the interview about what the job actually entails. All the work you do is frontline work, and the career progression is unfulfilling and not challenging. Also, Pepsi expects 60-70 hours of work per week. During the time I was there I trained with the majority of all the positions there, and for the most part everyone was miserable.

    Advice to Management

Be honest during the interview cycle and you will have a better chance finding the right candidate.

    Pros

you get a free small bag of chips at lunch !

    Cons

A seriously top heavy bureaucracy with lots of bad management, lots of poor decision making, the business isn't growing, apathetic culture with lots of politics and unhappy frustrated people, 1% raises, no career growth, especially for technical people, lots of turnover, the millennials develop their careers by leaving for better companies, no matching 401K, the list goes on and on and on....

    Advice to Management

none because they don't listen to anyone, they know better

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The cheapest healthcare plan was costing me $9.33 per week which is much cheaper than paying the tax penalty. I'm a highly skilled worker, so I didn't have to put up with this company for long.

    Cons

The work schedule is horrible. It leaves you no time to enjoy your life. Management is clueless. There is no protocol in place to discipline managers and supervisors when they fail to do their job. Supervisors also being union reps is a huge conflict of interest. Supervisors from other departments can disrespect you, scream at you, and tempt you to knock their teeth out and then walk away and laugh about it because nothing is done about it. Instead, the employees on the receiving end get suspended, written up and denied pay. Also, management can change your work shift as it pleases.

    Advice to Management

Consider carefully the qualifications for promotion. Supervisors, managers and lead workers are heavily under educated. They have very poor people skills and conflict resolution skills. The human resource department apparently exists only as a facade. Expect employees to react physically to disrespectful treatment from leadership.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Independence. Don't have to see Pepsi management daily. Pay is better than most, however its not worth the stress.

    Cons

Management assumes blame without doing their research. Perceptions are not realities.

    Advice to Management

Stop making assumptions, get into the trade more, and see whats really going on.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay with excellent benefits, great co-workers, room for advancement, cheap Cola and the ability to buy case drinks and chips from Frito-Lay cheap

    Cons

Excessive amount of management, machines are in horrible condition with most of the wiring roughshod in with no drawings or labeling. There is no coordination between operations and maintenance. So many machines are band aided together and they won’t order the parts to repair them. Management likes to supervise through cameras that were originally installed for employee safety. Not much ethics in upper management. They like to jerk your hours around with little rest between shifts. There is no structured safety training. Pretty much watch a video and guess through the test. No SOPs or training for operators.

    Advice to Management

When you have 5 different bosses that assign you work and don communicate it can get frustrating. Get rid of some of the managers and make supervisors do their job.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay for the work we do
Meet some great people along the way
    Schedule can be flexible
    Suitable benefits

    Cons

Most management has no leadership skills they will call you on the phone with attitudes and hollering on the phone which is very unprofessional. You can be lacking in a certain area and instead of it being addressed so you can improve nothing will get said except behind your back unless it directly affects the present moment also unprofessional.”
Not very diversity friendly most companies have something for everyone as far as moving up not here. You have to be one type of individual if not their will never be any opportunity for you to develop and advance especially if your a minority. Only minority DSLs come from corporate none come from the area we’re in which is a shame.

    Advice to Management

Get more hands on in the zone see what’s going on address diversity issues it will help morale and grow your business.

    Cons

overworked, underpaid, as soon as priorities are set they change, if you don't go in through the college program you're screwed

    Advice to Management

quit with the "review" process since you are only giving 2% to everyone for merit increases regardless of perfomance
