I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Experience you get and Brands you work with

    Cons

Not set up for Long term development. Top priority is running routes. You feel as if you are a RSR and not DSL. Turnover is not slowing down. People come and in and people come out, for both RSR and DSLs. If your looking for a company with a great culture the frontline is not it. Can't speak for other departments.

    Advice to Management

Work on Turnover issue, development and training, and setting DSLs up for Longterm growth.

    Pros

Major CPG company, best in class marketing with access to lots of resource; top brands, smart people, lots of global opportunities.

    Cons

Pepsico Nutrition group is extremely matrixed. Continue to cut budgets, overall declining morale, and the business just cannot turn around.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Pay is great
Superiors generally decent, many will help advance your career if you show initiative.
Very steady and predictable job day to day and schedule.

    Cons

No 401k match, barely a pension.
Supervisors seem to be a bit overwhelmed.
Low morale. Given the pay and level of work not being as heavy as it used to be I'm surprised how many complaints my co-workers come up with. I guess this is what the union does to people-gives the entitled mentality. Half these guys milk an hour or more of OT a day-pathetic!
    Also-machines here suck.

    Advice to Management

Inspire us. I've worked at other warehouses where entire crews had pride in their work, even competing amongst each other. I feel like I'm around a bunch of little kids who can't see how good they have it. This is largely management's fault. None of these supervisors has risen from the ground up from loader position. I feel it's critical to have a person we can respect, and who respects our efforts.
