I have been working at Peregrine Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The team is motivated and hardworking. You are given the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks, across lots of different clients, meaning the work stays interesting! Peregrine gives plenty of opportunity for advancement in your career, and gives each employee £1000 for training purposes.

    Cons

Due to the range of Peregrine's services, you will be required to learn a multitude of skills. However, for those willing this can be a very rewarding process.

    Advice to Management

Keep supporting employees goals in the same way you have been doing!

    Pros

There is a great office environment with very friendly and helpful employees. You will be kept busy, but the senior staff will work closely with you. There is little hierarchy and numerous opportunities to further your training.

    Cons

Open plan office means there's a lack of privacy.

I worked at Peregrine Communications as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

As they are industry leaders the knowledge within the firm is extensive and approachable, everyone is very nice and helpful.
    Tight knight workforce.
    Fun atmosphere.
    Quick progression.

    Cons

    Seemingly high employee turnover.
No great long-term careers prospects in sight.
Nepotism rules, everyone is pretty much related in one way or the other.

    Pros

Peregrine operates under a flat structure that suits those who want to progress and do exciting things. The management are very supportive of new ideas and projects, which makes for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture. I have grown much faster than I otherwise would have at rival agencies.

    Cons

Suits those with a healthy appetite for socialising.

I worked at Peregrine Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was with Peregrine for nearly 3 years and have only deep respect for Anthony Payne and his team.
Peregrine’s focus on high calibre individuals regardless of the level they are hiring at determines both the quality of results they aim to deliver to their clients and the importance of being way above average, driven and adaptable to the needs of the changing nature of the investment clients they look after.
It is a laid back, fair and hard working-driven culture which recognises and rewards ambition and results and rejects mediocracy.
It is a firm with vision and people who execute it with conviction.

    Cons

One might argue the relatively smaller size compared to bigger agencies is a disadvantage but for those who know how to make the most out of it, it is indeed a great opportunity.

I have been working at Peregrine Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have an excellent team culture, very focused, driven by results, they support each other. It’s a very cool office, open plan, people move around a lot, great communication. It’s very much a one stop shop, they look at all marketing aspects from media relations to email, websites, events, advertising, investor relations. They have 2 main offices, London and New York, but act as one team across the two offices. They also have affiliates in all key cities around the World.

    Cons

There isn’t much room for people who just want a job, they are very demanding of themselves and each other. Emails keep going 24/7 and there isn’t enough of a break between work and play. The are very sociable and go out together, quite tribal.

I have been working at Peregrine Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The highlight of working at Peregrine has to be the fantastic team culture and office atmosphere. Peregrine has an open-plan office, allowing constant interaction between team members. Combined with frequent after-work social events, this has led to great team relationships, with many people feeling like friends I just happen to work with.

The company is also on a great path, with a New York office opening in a couple of weeks, and a hugely successful branching out into every facet of building a client's public image; this includes media relations, website design, advertising, social media and messaging.

I have also found Peregrine incredibly educational: each employee has a £1,000 annual training budget, and I have been given numerous projects outside my remit and experience, which is a great way to acquire new skills and competencies. Furthermore, most Friday afternoons they arrange seminars from people from other industries relating to ours.

There is also a generous bonus scheme, and the hours are rarely any longer than 9-6.30.

    Cons

The range of clients and services we provide them means one must stay on top of a very wide variety of tasks at all times.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at Peregrine Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Their client base is impressive and they seem to have won various industry awards in their field.

    Cons

The salary is the industry's absolute minimum, the way in which the organisation is run is incredibly worrying for anyone wanting to get a job at Peregrine. It is, unfortunately, an incredibly biased place to work in.

There is a huge amount of disrespect to junior people and complete obliviance to how people operate. I have witnessed very public disagreements and bust-ups, something which should never happen in a open plan office where everyone can hear you but rather in a meeting room.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend considering getting rid of friends' son and assessing the work some partners do.
