    Pros

All the reviews are right to a certain degree, POD is either a wonderful career choice that champions your entrepreneurial mindset and self-management style, or it's a job that doesn't give you the roadmap from a to b, it really depends on your work style.

If you're a self-starter, have ideas about how POD or the industry can improve/create new paths, then management and your fellow employees will support your vision and talent. It's a rare agency that does that.

It's also just undergone a big shift in management, with some of the old guard leaving and internal talent rising to to the top to take the shop in new (and interesting) directions. It's a great time to join, and a telling showcase of how the founders look within for the next wave of execs.

    Cons

Utilization of resources across offices isn't great.
Work/Life balance is on par with other agencies of it's caliber, but if you're worried about that, this is most likely not the fit for you.
Needs more competitive salary structures, but benefits are very strong.

    Advice to Management

Excited to see where the new guard takes the agency. Don't blow up what makes the place so special in the name of new for new's sake.

    Pros

There are some fun people, the office is dog-friendly and the interior design and open layout of the office is lovely.

    Cons

Management is untrustworthy and will throw their reports under to bus. Very much a boy's club. The parties are fun at first, but after you experience the dark underbelly of this company (the gossip, the lies, the greed, and the bad behavior from the top down), it becomes sickening.

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look in the mirror.

    Pros

Beautiful office space - if you like industrial chic decor - with an open floor plan (which has its pros and cons). Dog friendly. Benefits are covered by the company but the offerings are basic so plan not to get too ill. Unlimited PTO. Lots of parties and social events at their bar. If all that impresses you then this is the perfect place for you! As for the people - a handful are cool but then again who isn't "cool" after a couple of alcoholic beverages.

    Cons

There is a severe lack of leadership; there is no structure in place and there seems to be no desire to create any - it really is a sink or swim work environment furthermore if you are NOT favored among management they will see to it that you sink (I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to hold you under water too SMH). Managers are NOT supportive nor are they committed to employee growth and development - there is common sense among upper management that they are above certain task. The culture there is very cliquey with the Jock and Preps running the show. I will also echo a pervious review that mentions they under pay; so if you do decide to move forward with an offer be sure to negotiate.

    Advice to Management

Diligently review the surveys we took and be sure to implement resourceful structure and systems in place to improve work flow and that fosters TRUE collaboration between teams/department. Now, I wholeheartedly understand the reason the recruiter often laments that it's so challenging to find good people - well good people rather opt for work environments that are supportive and provides enough opportunity to grow and evolve. Furthermore "good" candidates are not solely impressed with vibrant parties and social events. Consider focusing less on the fun events and more on developing and nurturing the talent that's there.

    I worked at Pereira & O'Dell full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful space, company owns a bar in the alley way that they use for events, happy hours and meetings. They have multiple kitchen areas that offer small snacks and beverages. Great benefits like, 100% health, dental and vision. Time off, depends...they have accrued and unlimited depending on your position. Dog friendly space. They have really awesome parties. You get to be apart of major victories in the Ad world.

    Cons

Very cliquey! If you are a favorite it is evident, if not that's fine too just know that whatever happens business wise...there are only a select few that are "safe" so beware. You never know what is happening with management, desk changes, floor changes, unexpected lay-off's (huge negative factor). Do not work here of you are a sensitive person or don't like heavy drinkers. LOTS OF PARTYING.
NEGOTIATE YOUR SALARY! they will low-ball you

    Advice to Management

Operations--stop being such sneaky control freaks!
Vulgar employees- stop acting like you aren't married when you're at a work event.

    Pros

Some of the nicest and smartest people in the ad world. Work hard play hard mentality and a good work/life balance compared to most agencies.

    Cons

    Not much room for growth.

    Advice to Management

The culture seems to be suffering and I'm afraid senior management doesn't really notice.
