I worked at Perficient full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Literally nothing, I'm a positive person and cannot muster up anything decent to say.

    Cons

Awful culture, company that's grown solely by acquisition. Poor talent, even worse leadership and zero transparency. If you value your career and this company acquires your place of employment I highly recommend leaving immediately.

    Advice to Management

Don't try to illegally avoid paying out earned commissions

I have been working at Perficient full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

work from home, advancement opportunities, PTO/benefits are good, strong culture with several non-work events throughout the year, solid company performance with many high-level partners such as Microsoft and Oracle - regularly acquire smaller companies and try to remain agile and innovative.

    Cons

lower than average pay with minimal raises even with outstanding performance, non-billable workers do not seem very valued in relation to billable employees - pay more based on longevity than performance. I have heard from billable people that pay is low. Internal employee training is more of learning by doing which can make the first year difficult to perform to expectations (may not fully grasp expectations until after first performance eval) - no regularly scheduled formal evaluation (only once per year).

    Advice to Management

Consider a pay structure that rewards performance for internal employees, this may lead to the "good ones" sticking around and even better performance. Consider quarterly evals, maybe not as formal as yearly. When change happens in Operations make sure everyone is fully aware and trained on that change.

I have been working at Perficient full-time

    Pros

I can only share my experience within the Denver business unit as cultures can vary across teams where some of the negative reviews might be coming from. The team is a fun group of people that are supportive in everyone succeeding with their respective customers. Management has a truly open door policy to share how your feeling and ensure you're understood and taken care of. Compensation is good for the area and has a very flat management structure so rewards aren't based on arbitrary responsibility increases but real promotions and benefits. The work is interesting but honestly a coin flip on where you might get put within a respective customers organization. Would highly recommend, one of the best places Ive ever worked.

    Cons

Diversity of opportunities is based on what companies purchase consulting services so you could potentially be on some very long term programs (3-5years) or not have a variety of options on where you might want to be working.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the transparency, it's extremely appreciated.

I worked at Perficient full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people, Interesting work, mostly focused on software development and project management

    Cons

I don't feel that Perficient works hard enough to find the next assignments when the last one ends. Bonus and vacation payout policies grossly slanted against employees.

    Advice to Management

Better communication between Business Units. Work harder for employees, especially when they roll off an assignment. Rethink Bonus and Vacation payout policies especially for layoff situations.

    Pros

It is not super busy when you work but it depends on the project and client you work for.

    Cons

Prepare to travel and remote work as many of the positions requires travel
Average pay hard to get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Less travel for your employee and increase the benefit for who needs to travel a lot.

    Pros

Perficient pays fairly well for jobs right out college. Travel lifestyle can be fun for a period of time.

    Cons

Poor bonus structure that only accounts for hours worked in 6 month periods. If you hit your marks across the period but not in either, you don't get a bonus. My GM removed me from a project causing me to lose out on a bonus due to this very case. Had to share rental cars while traveling.

    Advice to Management

    reward your employees better!
