RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at PerimeterX full-time for more than a year
Pros
-Great leadership in the Miami office. -Best bot solution on market and company has good strategy to expand its cyber security portfolio -Culture is amazing. Yes, it's sales but people within the office are not trying to backstab you. Coworkers are always helping each other out. You really become close friends with the people you work with it's a very diverse group of individuals. I think it's also important to note this is business and you can't get complacent. Every company has to make hard decisions to let people go and those individuals sometimes try and play victim because they confused the great culture with thinking their jobs are safe, when they could have been working harder and bringing more revenue to the company. -Our CEO is awesome, humble, approachable (via slack), kind, and helpful -Solid base pay + good benefits, free lunches everyday, happy hours
Cons
-Growing pains that come with joining a startup that's becoming more corporate -Holiday time off should be clearly stated weeks, if not months prior. -Work/life balance can be difficult, but I'm not really sure if this is a con. It's sales. If you want to be successful and have a bright future, it requires you to work outside of business hours. -Close rate is pretty low and sales cycle highly varies, so it can very difficult to finally get a contract signed, but this comes with the territory. It's a hyper competitive industry. Buying process can have numerous roadblocks. I truly think management is trying to fix these issues so the business can be more successful and reps can make more commissions

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at PerimeterX full-time for more than a year
Pros
The best part about working for this company are the people in the Miami office. While it is a sales office, it's not the hyper-competitive madness that you might see in other sales offices. The people here are always willing to give a helping hand (if they like you) and are extremely welcoming to newbies. Free lunch is nice, too. Overall, management in this office is very understanding of needing to leave for emergencies and not coming in when you're dying of a cold.
Cons
If you are a woman, I do not recommend working for PerimeterX; it's a very male-driven office and a lot of the people came from the same fraternity so there is a lot of favoritism. Speaking of favoritism, certain people are handed deals left and right and are celebrated as if said salespeople got those deals themselves. This is a rampant issue in this office and was very demoralizing during my tenure there. PTO- In the employment ads, PerimeterX states that employees have "unlimited PTO" which attracts a lot of potential salespeople. Don't let this draw you in because it is not true, neither is the "work from home" option which is only granted to some of the enterprise reps. The paid time off has to be approved by your manager and if the manager decides that you only get 5 days vacation/year, that's what it's going to be whether you like it or not. IMPORTANT- If you are not from Miami and you have family elsewhere and want to spend the holidays with them, don't expect your PTO to be approved. The last two holiday seasons that I spent at PerimeterX, everyone's holiday time was denied at the last minute because it was "end of quarter". Three days before Christmas, everyone's vacation was eventually approved after flights had been canceled and our jobs had been threatened. Be prepared for this if you are considering working there. Overall, the culture that I walked into when I started is not the same as the one I left. This company is moving away from the startup culture that attracts a lot of people and is moving towards a much more corporate environment. While I look back on my time at PX positively, I do not and would not recommend this position to a woman...EVER. Two women were fired on the same day. One of whom was let go after she had closed a deal, the other one was let go after bringing in three large opportunities that will undoubtedly be handed to the favorites in the office, who didn't do anything for the commission they might get. - DO NOT EXPECT A COMMISSION CHECK UNTIL YOU ARE AT LEAST 9 MONTHS IN- Seriously.

"Great Place To Grow - Company With A Bright Future"

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at PerimeterX full-time
Pros
Employees at all levels have the ability to make an impact on the business. Hard work is recognized and rewarded with more opportunities and responsibilities. The organization is flat which helps feedback/suggestions be heard and quickly implemented. The executive team is brilliant and works extremely hard. There is an opportunity to build out the processes which will be helpful as we scale, there are no “this is how it’s always been done” rules that can be found at more established companies. People here work hard, take ownership of their responsibilities and believe in the longterm vision of the company. Everyone has been friendly and helpful as well!
Cons
With any fast-growing organization, there are growing pains. There are long days and the fast pace can be tough for some to keep up with.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at PerimeterX full-time for less than a year
Pros
- Everyone is open, engaged, and respectful - We all work together and help each other out where needed - My manager genuinely cares about my growth and how I am doing both inside and outside of work - very rare nowadays. He encourages me to task him with anything that will make me better as an individual contributor - I'm afraid to jinx it, but there are no politics that I have noticed as of yet! (also rare) - This company has some of the hardest working individuals that I have ever seen. It is inspiring. - Dog friendly environment - Excellent comp plan with benefits! - I wouldn't pass on an opportunity to learn more about PerimeterX
Cons
- Office is getting tight, but I hear a move is soon to come!

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at PerimeterX full-time for less than a year
Pros
Lots of food options in downtown San Mateo for lunch or dinner. Pet friendly office.
Cons
Lack of vision from marketing leadership so lots of whiplash movements and change of direction every Monday morning. Poor go-to-market experience, and hence execution, with ancillary teams. Insecure employees are conducive to toxic working environment. Expect to hear "beat bad bots" until you're nauseous (see point earlier about marketing leadership lacking vision - a phrase ISN'T a marketing campaign!). ZERO understanding of culture.
