    Discovery Attorney in Seattle, WA

I worked at Perkins Coie for more than a year

    Pros

The legal teams treated the discovery attorneys with respect and trusted us with important issues. Also, it's easy to tell that the leadership for the discovery services team genuinely cares about the discovery attorneys.

    Cons

The downside in contract work is that you inevitably have days and weeks where there is no wor.

"Perkins provides a good environment, but is unnecessarily and unreasonably focused on pedigree instead of potential."

I have been working at Perkins Coie for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salaries are higher than other contract legal employers. Colleges are generally considerate and focused on the tasks at hand. Associates and partners are some of the smartest people I've worked with.

    Cons

Contract work can be inconsistent and the lead time for projects is short. There is little/no ability to move up and when people do advance it is more luck than skill.
