I have been working at Personagraph full-time

    Pros

I have been working at Personagraph for more than a year.

    1) Best place to work at if you want to dive into machine learning, advertising and big data.

    2) The new management is amazing, ready to give you freedom, opportunities and time to learn new things.

    3) Work timings are pretty flexible. You can come in whenever as long as you are meeting the deadlines.

    4) Regular bay area start-up culture with free food and other goodies.

    5) The new top management are moving mountains, going places in advertising.

    Cons

Free food could be pushed to 5 times a week( 2 times a week currently).

    Advice to Management

Could increase the engineering team in HQ.
    having a performance based appreciation.

I worked at Personagraph full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good snacks, lunch 2 days each week, they give you top of the line technology, solid budget

    Cons

Several times the product has not worked so the company was forced to pivot. They are now on their 3rd or 4th iteration. Doesn't help that the parent company, Intertrust, has different goals than the actual company leadership. It's a mess, stay away.

    Advice to Management

Sell it or shut it down

I worked at Personagraph full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The technology stack and product are reasonably good.

    Cons

The product road-map is not well defined and there isn't a clear direction for the product and the company. Transparency across the company is not good which causes lot of ambiguity and confusion among the employees. Role definition and career growth path for the employees isn't well defined. HR overall is pretty poor and not empowered to help the employees

    Advice to Management

Focus on strengthening middle management. The management is very top heavy ,too many VPs, Directors without enough Managers/Senior Managers. The number of locations, given the size of the company is too much and causes more harm than good

    Pros

    You have good work here.
    Perks are good

    Cons

Job safety not assured. You don't know when someone is getting fired. You have to be ready to face it or be prepared in advance.
Career growth not assured as such small team is divided at too many locations.
Company that has been startup for too long.
It is only good if you are looking to work for an year and leave. Can't tell about the future.

    Advice to Management

Compassion to employee is important and don't go by some others words. Remote management wouldn't help anyway.
