    Pros

Great work life balance! The energy of a small, start up culture with corporate benefits (owned by PetSmart). Everyone is eager to grow the company and prove out the value of the media business. Employees are all dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their parents through content, advertising, and education.

    Cons

Being owned by a large corporation sometimes causes slow movement.

I have been working at Pet360 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Dogs in the Office
    Flexible Hours
Ability to learn new systems, tools, & disciplines
    Relaxed office culture & dress-code
Complimentary High-End Barista Bar in the office every other week

    Cons

Complete and utter lack of commitment from parent company to invest in the business. This has lead to mass exodus of talent & trust has essentially eroded to nothing. Incredibly frustrating and disheartening for those of us who believed there was something worth staying for and building up.

    Advice to Management

    Be more transparent.
Stop chasing the tail; innovate, think, and execute instead of waiting for the perfect 'thing'.

    I worked at Pet360 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a challenge to write one review about my time at Pet360 because the experience was different before and after the acquisition by PetSmart. Both companies have a love for pets and have made that a part of the culture which makes for a happy work environment.

At Pet360, I enjoyed working with a team of talented, passionate people to build something great. It was challenging work and you knew you were a part of building something special.

We adapted and changed directions (which some would say is a con) and if what we tried wasn't good or better, we fixed it, learned and moved on.

The culture of transparency and sharing information gave you a sense of ownership and pride and you could feel that in the vibe in the office. We participated in a lot of opportunities to give back in the community which added to the vibe and helped you get to know your colleagues on a different level.

    Cons

Integration- let me start here. The biggest disappointment is that there was no attempt at a fusion and the integration strategy was to suck the little company into the big company machine. The timing of ownership and leadership changes at PetSmart (shortly after the acquisition of Pet360) left a lot of people wondering about the future.

Otherwise, the cons are normal for big companies- decision making is painfully slow and you will spend a lot of time in meetings. Good thing pets can attend meetings.

    Advice to Management

You have some great talent working at Pet360. Try to be a little more human and transparent, trust that they are capable and can handle it. Share your strategy and they will help you achieve it (it worked for the former leadership and it might work for you too).

    I have been working at Pet360 full-time

    Pros

Great people, dogs in the office, good starting salary, obtainable track for promotion, aggressive company growth (read: more opportunities for internal promotions), fun extracurricular culture, flexible work schedules, work-from-home days, great time-off / sick day policies.

    Cons

Every negative review you've read is most likely the work of temp workers or call center employees. There are a lot of jobs here that have high turnover rates and employees in those roles are unhappy and therefore turn to Glassdoor to bash the company. Like last reviewer, take negative comments with grain of salt. Company needs to improve the PetSmart / Pet360 balance for sure. PetSmart dictates the company's future, but they are responsible for a lot of roadblocks. The relationship is far from perfect.

    Advice to Management

I think most full time employees here are happy. Just get more aggressive with hiring new people and giving employees a voice to petsmart.

    I have been working at Pet360 full-time

    Pros

Dogs can come to work with owners, and non-management team members are great to work with. Company culture is something special, or at least it was.

    Cons

Executives are clueless, place blame instead of giving clear consistent direction. Most people spend a majority of time having to educate exec, rather than executing plan.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to point fingers and micromanage - you're slowing the process down and not providing anything of value.

I have been working at Pet360 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you like working in a fast-paced environment (and I do), then you will love it here! In the past year we swapped out the majority of the tech stack, changed our warehouse provider, and got acquired by PetSmart, among other things. The management team gives a lot of freedom to determine direction and make big bets without fear of failure. Pets in the office keeps things light and fun.

    Cons

Finger-pointing when something goes wrong, which starts at the top and feeds into the rest of the organization.

    Advice to Management

Form a strategy. Determine what to focus on as a company, and form cross-functional teams and go after it! Rather than work on 20 small things, pick the 3 largest drivers and get everyone to contribute no matter what their role is.

    I have been working at Pet360 full-time

    Pros

decent pay and benefits, some chance for growth, good work/life balance

    Cons

Absolutely ZERO organization. Very reactionary; no thought put into strategy. People constantly leaving and not being replaced. No accountability for upper management.

    Advice to Management

Take a second look at the current management team, then maybe things can get better. Stop paying so much attention to other companies with completely different business models.
