    Lot's of tools & training to help you be successful. Monthly safety & product education videos for all employees. Fair pay

    Get to see animals and engage with customers...good work experience with busy environment

    Cons

    Short on staff, always struggling to be able to assist multiple customers, often rude customers.

    Good experience for other jobs and you can move up quickly in the company.

    They do not pay enough.

    You get a lot of interaction with animals and learn lots of skills.

    Cons

    Not enough labor hours to be successful, too much rolling out to work effectively on anything, not enough training for team members to make them truly successful.

    I worked at PetSmart full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Lots of room for growth opportunities, surrounded by animals, can be very fun depending on leadership, pays well for retail management.

    Cons

    Given less hours to run a store during a pandemic, with more foot traffic than pre-covid, more tasks thrown on top us. They took part of merit increase, to give it back to us months later. They took part of our bonuses. You feel helpless and like a working slave.

    Pros

    You get the opportunity to help people find the right products for their pet's needs. This is rewarding, especially when you have those repeat customers who look for you in particular.

    Cons

    Upper Management will move you around at will. They will let you build a great team at your current location and then move you to a different location.

    Recently cut hours so you spend most of your days helping customers. Not much time for admin work.
