    1. Its a great place to work with animals. 2. You learn a lot over time about pet foods and animals you didn't know before. 3. Great benefits, 40% off store branded merchandise, 20% everything else, even if it is clearance. 4. Repeat customers are always great. 5. Flexible with your schedule. 6. Able to deny animal or fish sales if you don't believe they'll be going to a good home. 7. PTO is amazing. 8. Promotion opportunities 9. Very inclusive environment

    Cons

    1. You really get to see how awful people treat their animals. 2. Can be mentally draining. 3. It can get very hectic very quickly 4. Staffing is always low, whether it be management or employees. 5. Management is sloppy, untrained. 6. No real training for your position, especially if it has to do with the animals. 7. Management does not communicate/ not involved in the happenings of the store, always in the office. 8. Pay can be better, especially since you can make more as a Target Employee.

    Fun job!

    Pros

Loved this job. Getting to work with animals and being able to get great discounts on healthy products for your own pet is a plus. There's always an opportunity to grow in this company and be able to focus on your favorite areas of expertise whether that comes with training, grooming, being an animal expert or nutrition specialist. Petco is great for animal lovers.

    Cons

Only downside was there's a lot of teamwork that goes into unloading the distribution center boxes. If you don't have a good team it will be hard to get work done. Some of the customers are also very picky and rude but that goes for most retail jobs.

    Pros

working with animals. "Most" Customers value your advice Some of the people you work with. If you're popluar, you'll get salary raise, after salary raise

    Cons

Promotions, raises, and yearly evaluations are based on the managers private poplularity contest. Salaries are not supposed to be shared so that they can pay new people they like better then seasoned employees. The same job can have up to a $4hr difference, depending not on how long you've worked there, but how much the manager likes you.
