    Pros

Lots of training, lots of learning, great culture, nice working environment, giant company

    Cons

There are many good sides of Pfizer especially it's culture and history, there isn't really any downside if you focus on the pros

    Advice to Management

More updates to employees so everyone can be informed. Pfizer voice is a great survey and should keep it

    Pros

    Talented people
    Great overall culture
    Good compensation packages

    Cons

No real focus on colleague development. Senior management is more focused on themselves than on the employees
Many non-commercial functions (HR, IT, Analytics, etc) have been centralized to the US so mainly operational or more mundane work remains in market

    Advice to Management

You have a responsibility to the colleagues in the organization to help their development and to make it a great place to work. Put your egos aside and focus on the right things

I have been working at Pfizer Canada full-time

    Pros

Great company with great people. Stable environment for the most part. Opportunity to learn.

    Cons

Ongoing restructuring. Could have given affected employees more visibility especially the dedicated ones.

    Advice to Management

Greater visibility to affected individuals who have worked hard to improve the overall Pfizer processes.

I worked at Pfizer Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

World class products. A few good people still working there.

    Cons

Very political, not what you know but who you know, you're just a pawn on the chess board. Lip service paid to value of employees but no action.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the walk.

I worked at Pfizer Canada full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good work/life balance
    Benefits are competitive
Salary progression is very good with demonstrated performance

    Cons

Limited opportunity to move upward - some supervisors don't take care to familiarize themselves with employee aspirations and to help them prepare for new opportunities
Creativity is often hampered - supporting services such as legal and compliance often kill ideas which are acceptable by external industry regulations - hampering ability to compete

    Advice to Management

Think beyond the operations of individual business units - your customers see "Pfizer" as opposed to one unit or another. Encourage staff to find ways to collaborate across BUs, to integrate improvements and provide greater latitude to your product groups to be creative and competitive within industry standards and regulations.
