    Pros

Lots of training, lots of learning, great culture, nice working environment, giant company

    Cons

There are many good sides of Pfizer especially it's culture and history, there isn't really any downside if you focus on the pros

    Advice to Management

More updates to employees so everyone can be informed. Pfizer voice is a great survey and should keep it

    Pros

Good systems and tools in place to help you perform well and achieve your potential.

    Cons

Female leadership at a certain level is often overlooked.
Not everyone is treated the same or held accountable.
    Enjoy it while it lasts.

Fat too many reorganizations, thus great people are lost.

    Advice to Management

    Proactive vs reactive.

I worked at Pfizer Canada full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company with advantageous benefits and open culture. Broad portfolio and pipeline. Ethical in its practices. Great track record with Health Canada. Excellent workplace. Dedicated employees. Open door policy. Good local culture in Canada.

    Cons

Risk averse. Slow to change. Heavy administrative burden sometimes hinders creativity. Career ladder quite flat which allows for top talent to leave or be laid off over frequent reorganization exercises.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk when talking about mindful risk taking. Provide a career ladder to your top talent. Lower the administrative burden to increase creativity and out-of-the box thinking.

    Pros

Great group of colleagues who looked out for one another. Company let you run your own territory as your own business

    Cons

Typical big pharma mentality regarding posted value system of management versus the actual corporate culture when dealing with sales employees

    Advice to Management

Read your value principles and abide by them when dealing with your long term employees rather than treating them like disposable chattel

I have been working at Pfizer Canada full-time

    Pros

Great company with great people. Stable environment for the most part. Opportunity to learn.

    Cons

Ongoing restructuring. Could have given affected employees more visibility especially the dedicated ones.

    Advice to Management

Greater visibility to affected individuals who have worked hard to improve the overall Pfizer processes.

    Pros

    Talented people
    Great overall culture
    Good compensation packages

    Cons

No real focus on colleague development. Senior management is more focused on themselves than on the employees
Many non-commercial functions (HR, IT, Analytics, etc) have been centralized to the US so mainly operational or more mundane work remains in market

    Advice to Management

You have a responsibility to the colleagues in the organization to help their development and to make it a great place to work. Put your egos aside and focus on the right things

I worked at Pfizer Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

World class products. A few good people still working there.

    Cons

Very political, not what you know but who you know, you're just a pawn on the chess board. Lip service paid to value of employees but no action.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the walk.
