I have been working at Pfizer full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

BIG pharma experience, great pipeline, decent funding, smart people, good 410k match and stocks longterm incentive. Good name recall for job hunting prospects.

    Cons

Bureacracy, meetings that never go anywhere, abrasive personalities. Relocation is overpriced and spousal support is a joke. Mentorship is nonexistent. Cambridge location has no permanent office spaces..."free for all". Telework is frowned upon, which is odd because so much of the work can be telework.

    Advice to Management

Please dont tie people to their managers. It's crazy that one cant apply to other positions or training without the support of the manager. How in thte world do you exactly envision this? Facilitate more efficient meetings.

It was a great place to work. There was work / life balance, good benefits and decent pay. Working conditions were nice.

I have been working at Pfizer full-time

    Pros

    -3 weeks of vacation
-good health, dental and vision insurance, pet insurance is also offered if you need it
    -good job stability
    -travel once a year

    Cons

-lower base pay than most other companies
-work/life balance really depends on the group you end up in
-no happy hour/christmas parties, there is really a lack of opportunities for employees to get to know each other

    Advice to Management

Need to be more decisive in decision making, training is really unstructured so that needs to be worked on, politics need to not be so distracting that it gets in the way of science
