I worked at Pflugerville Independent School District full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Colleagues are great to work with. Most care about students and their success. Building admin mostly cares. Pay is close to area now.

    Cons

Teachers are often ever-extended at the secondary level, especially in the CTE department. Upper Admin doesn't remember what it's like to be in classroom so they sometimes make unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to Management

Stacked classes don't help students at all. If you say you do something for the kids, or they are the main focus. Don't do them that injustice.
