I worked at Phantom Fireworks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, flexible schedule, slow before 4th of July (except maybe around Memorial Day), good and clear communication regarding work expectations and length of stay at job

    Cons

Hectic around the 4th of July, minimal job training (basic 2-3 hour orientation) especially regarding cash register operation and handling, customers could be rude

    Advice to Management

Invest in a longer orientation. Especially teach cashiers how to operate the cash register, and how to keep calm under the pressure of 4th of July.

I worked at Phantom Fireworks part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a fun job if you like Fireworks and People. Seasonal work around the 4 of July.

    Cons

You work for a Temp Company not Phantom. At my store My Manager lied about a bonus we all would receive after the 4 of July - No one received it. The Manager would make promises and never follow through. They change hours on your time so you don't receive overtime / lose pay. You are paid every two weeks and you are laid off before you notice that they cheated you.

I worked at Phantom Fireworks (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pretty decent pay, they do work you hard, especially around the 4th of July, but they were up-front about it in the interview process so people shouldn't complain about the long hours.

    Cons

Little on the job training, they kind of throw you into the job and expect you know how to do everything with minimal instruction

    Advice to Management

Better training and less micromanagement by the upper level executives, sometimes it was hard to know if I was reporting to the regional manager or the CEO.

    Pros

Easy work only two months a year is busy

    Cons

They illegally pro rate your pay from salary to hourly if you work under 40 hours at the store. Corporate is clueless on resources and blame managers for issues even when management has no control over the issues at hand.

    Advice to Management

Get a consultant and a clue

I worked at Phantom Fireworks part-time

    Pros

Good seasonal summer job that pays decent and will give you plenty of hours to work. The job is a simple and straightforward task.

    Cons

The job includes a lot of manual labor that includes lifting heavy boxes. The job can wear you down physically especially during busy hours. You have to work the 4th of July holiday.

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job keeping everyone busy with a task to keep everybody moving. Management runs the business very orderly where everyone knows their role for the company.

I have been working at Phantom Fireworks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They give you a good deal of independence especially in the off season, the pay is decent and they provide food during the week of the fourth ( the most critical time for the company ).

    Cons

You obviously have to work the fourth of July and any patriotic holiday as well ( memorial day, labor day ) the demand during those times are very high and you don't have much room for error with the corporate agenda, it can become frustrating. and it is seasonal for hourly employees.

    Advice to Management

introduce specific shifts for people to work instead of alternating daily, it drains you out fairly quick alternating hours daily and only adds to the frustration.

I have been working at Phantom Fireworks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, made the season go by fast as well as very enjoyable.

    Cons

Very long hours during the week of July 4

    Advice to Management

Continue to respect the employees, and they will do the same in return.
